We've just emerged from the Xbox/Bethesda 'E3' presser and we're likely to be recording a DF Direct Special at some point tomorrow, going live on Tuesday... and we'd like your input! What we're looking for are both your questions and your comments on what you saw!

I still feel there's an enormous hangover from last gen CPU limitations... Forza Motorsport seems to make claims re: sim calculations that are actually next gen... does Team DF think we'll have to wait until 2024 to see a greater breadth of gameplay changes instead of just better and better graphics? There's franchises I love and am so excited to see more from, but gameplay-wise not much is making me feel the way Arma or Kerbal have in terms of feeling 'woah nothing else let's me do that!'

How much of Starfield’s development was targeting current gen consoles if it started development in 2016?

Starfield seems to have elevated black levels, like they're going for a cinematic film camera vibe. Am I right in this assessment? If so, I think it makes the image look a little muddy and unappealing.

A significant minority of PlayStation fans are outraged by Kojima making a game for Xbox, calling him a sellout and referring to how Sony helped him out a lot back in the day. It would be naive to dismiss capitalism. Kojima Productions is a company that needs to make profit after all. But some PS fans disagree and tend to think of this as Kojima's betrayal of Sony. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, since you are video game history experts (Richard and John) and could provide a broader perspective. Thanks, Arsen aka HardwareSavvy

I don't know if anyone else has asked the most important question, but where did Sarah Bond get that ummm interesting denim jacket dress... ?And was it created in UE5...?

Second thought occurs, this game could benefit greatly from ray tracing (GI+shadows), in stark lighting, the game can look very familair (fallout 4) at the beginning in particular. RT would be great to get on pc later. Overtime, having ray tracing support and mods for improving model/texture quality would look V NICE! (while still looking Bethesda) PC support is what i was hoping for, but maybe Xbox?

Redfall uses UE5. Still it has that typical Unreal Engine look that many games have nowadays that use this engine, like similar TAA-look, motion blur etc. I was hoping that with the use of UE5 this would be less the case as maybe more solutions would be available to tackle the same problems. What are your thoughts on it? Do you think this typical UE-look will go away once we go further into this generation of consoles? As then games don't have to switch to UE5 mid-development, allowing developers to use everything UE5 has to offer from the get-go without any older UE4 solutions being ported over in the newer engine.

The modern persona trilogy finally got announced for a non-PlayStation platform after years of port-begging. Do you think it was a case of SEGA/Atlus being slow on the uptake to port it over to other consoles or are there other factors at play that caused them to stick to PlayStation for so long such as how generally Japanese devs focus primarily on PlayStation and Nintendo?

Do you like a fantasy filed conference or something more down to earth like we saw yesterday ? (The ping from Kojima doesn't count)

Do you think Starfield looks a bit ambitious and taking too many ideas at once? I think it could be a coin flip and either be amazing or a jack of all trades and master of none game with alot of bugs. Do you also think the lighting and animations looked incredible on Diablo 4?

I am curious to find out what does the team think about the tech in the latest Forza Motorsport demo. To be very honest, it was very welcoming to see RT, body deformation and nice river water. However, the next Gen improvements to games in the recent years, fail to have that generational leep WOW factor of the past (except for UE5 demos). Do you share this opinion as well? Honestly, the pre-baked lighting of the past Forze Motorsport and the good-ol screen-space reflections looked just as good to me as the more computationally expensive RT that's being thrown around everywhere now. What do you reckon? Thanks, Arsen / HardwareSavvy

Loved the game demos that Microsoft demonstrated. The slide with all announced game releases caught my attention. I couldn't help to notice that there is a serious lackluster of games in the current Gen. There looks to be a lot of shoverlwhare shoved into these releases and the Xbox Game Pass. Do you think we (gamers) have run ourselves into a corner, where we as a lot of the games, which in turn made game development too costly and too risky? And do you think the UE5 will democratize high-fidelity video game development, allowing for smaller studios to have a shot soon? Perhaps it would be a great starting point, where we'll see an influx of games from more indie studios in 1-3 years. Thank you. Arsen /HardwareSavvy
