A sample sequence from Alex's next project. You may not be aware that God of War includes its own temporal upscaler alongside FSR 2.0 and DLSS and... well, it's not bad. See what you reckon about this four way comparison in preparation for Alex's full content. It shows pretty effectively the kind of tests we've devised to test these new technologies.

We don't usually supply downloads for DF shorts, but we suspect that some might want this one so here you go.

Something else you guys may want to take a look at, at some point—the MetalFX Upscaling developer information: https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2022/10103

Cool presentation, thanks for sharing! B-) Though I doubt it has much relevance for the average DF viewer... ;-)

What about quality mode?

i compared fsr2 and dlss in god of war and thought the results were really good for both. I was tossing the axe like a madman and moving the camera very fast in bright areas that have dark objects and i didnt see any artifacts. I didnt capture and go frame by frame but for general gameplay i was actually impressed. Image quality was great on both on Quality and Balanced modes. I was outputting to a 65 inch LG C1 from an nvidia (EVGA) 3080 ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming at max settings. Both had no issue hitting high frame rates but DLSS looked to be about 4-6 FPS faster. Still not a bad showing for FSR2...now im gonna watch this video lol
