Hey everyone, Rich here with some more early access. Tom was highly motivated to check out this remaster and... it's not great. In fact, we've managed to find a remaster running on PS4 that can run at a lower frame-rate than the PS1 original. Even with the back compat power of PS5 factored into the equation. I did ask him to check out the PC version too based on this showing - and it too has the same problems. And maybe we've discovered a neural network even more sinister than Skynet based on the AI upscaling results exhibited here...

The new Radical Dreamers Edition arrives with a string of extras for Chrono Cross fans, though it's far from an ideal remaster. For the PS4 release - as played on a PS5 in this video - performance is comparable to the 10-30fps range of the PlayStation original from 1999. Surprisingly there are points where it even descends to lower frame-rates in direct comparison, while using a new enhanced visuals mode.
