The next big DF Retro episode lands today and we're exceptionally proud of it. John Linneman explores the origins of Polyphony Digital, the studio's non-GT titles and the big debut of a racing franchise that would reset expectations for console driving games. The first four series entries are examined, the colossal generational leap between PS1 and PS2 is explored, and the race to match GT's technological leaps on PlayStation and other consoles is covered. At one hour, 53 minutes, there's a huge amount to digest here and we hope you enjoy it!

It's a racing filled day today. Indonesia MotoGP, Bahrain F1 in an hour, and DF Retro GT after that.

John, you've outdone yourself - this is incredible. And I think can only be answered by you going back to many of these games in future. Scratched the surface indeed but created a bigger itch. Excellent.

Absolutely awesome video as always, John. Loved it! I would love to see this applied to the Forza Motorsport series or a deep dive in to the Need for Speed series. God I would love Project Gotham to come back. I still play them on my OG XBox. Thanks again.
