It is here, finally! DF After Dark is our brand new off topic podcast exclusive to the DF Supporter Program where we discuss a wide range of topics from inside and outside of games. For this very first episode, Audi Sorlie, Alex Battaglia, Rich Leadbetter and John Linneman sit down to discuss how they entered the gaming industry. It is a wild ride as each of us come from very different backgrounds, so do not miss a single second, much is shared and revealed in this very first, sultry, sensual DF After Dark!

Access to DF After Dark as a podcast can be found on the Supporter-only RSS feed, which you can access via this link and your Patreon credentials. Please ignore any links within Patreon itself. This  is the one for you: https://open.acast.com/public/patreon/fanSubscribe/593963

So these won't be posted on YouTube? I usually listen to stuff there even if it's just a logo and audio only :)

I love how that opened.

Love hearing your stories! Such a diverse range of experiences. Im so used to the Giant Bomb way of things where everybody got in at the ground floor at age 20 or whatever. Glad you all found your way to DF eventually!

This was an awesome listen thanks for this! I will say though that Audi's volume could come up a bit. I kept having to turn it up when he spoke and then turn it back down when someone else spoke.

Really happy to finally listen to the first ever episode of After Dark! Great conversation and lots of fun, but I have one comment, and this can bleed over into the DF Weekly episodes as well. It would be nice if the audio levels of each person were properly matched in loudness for each episode. Audi was very quiet. Idk if you can get a separate audio recording of each host/guest to then mix for the final master, but that would be ideal, and maybe have an simple EQ for each one as well because Richard's mic can be a bit boomy on the low-end. Anyways, I love listening each and every week and I can't wait for the next After Dark 😊

Luckily I don't say much important anyway! But there is a difference how it sounds in Premiere versus how the export sounds it seems so I will keep this in mind for future exports and raise my volume. -Audi

Ok… the intro music GOTTA be Audi’s pick. I KNEW that motherfucker had soul.

The DF crew's knowledge of porn is fascinating.

Really enjoyed this guys. Fascinating stuff. Intro music on point. I wrote this from multiple angles.

Welp, John is officially The Dark Knight of Video Games from now until the end of time.

I kinda want to hear more of Audie's story :) maybe it's too personal but like what happened after Brazil? You guys broke up i guess? How did you meet John and the guys?

This was an interesting listen. Thank you!

Great first episode, thanks. At the end you asked for some ideas for future episodes; here are some random ones: -Alongside the Star Trek discussion episode: Favourite Star Trek games -First experiences of online games -Alien franchise and its influence on visual design in games -Random film rewatch (for example, asking others to watch a favourite film of your's that they might not have seen and discussing) -Electronic music and its connection with game music -Cooking/baking and favourite foods growing up in your respective countries

Hi gentlemen, I'm extremely happy with this show and exactly what I've been looking for. I've made a few question requests in the past asking you to talk about your favourite games which you may have seen. Well, would still love to hear more about this. You all have such deep knowledge of and experience with the mediums history, so your judgement about what you feel collectively and/or individually to be some of the greatest games ever created, certainly carries a lot of weight. Hope this can be adressed at some point but if not, you have all of my support and congratulations for starting this show! Keep it up

This was great. You need to push this show more as I couldn't find info on it with a simple Google meta search. I only even knew to come to Patreon to see it by listening to the weekly and even then you guys very quietly mention it. Good opportunity to grow the community- get that sucker more visibility. Maybe put the first ep (only) up free?

Loved this. Especially Rich’s facts about Pornhub

Let me know I need to listen to this without letting me know I need to listen to this

Very good. I did enjoy this one and was illuminating.

Love this first episode. When are we going to learn about the dark past of Tom Morgan though?

Anonymous

A little late getting around to this, but I really enjoyed the candor and insights. Hearing your journeys resonated with me because after my current post ends, I am struggling to decide where to go and how to even start. The stories you shared have inspired hope. Excited to see where the next After Dark takes you. P.S. Yes on hashtag Star Trek content.

Can’t talk about that, some things need to remain a mystery…

Bummer, I was hoping this was gonna be a regular thing... kept hearing bout how yall should do a df after dark on this thing or that over the last few months, assumed there would be a whole library by now... oh well. Is this ever gonna be a thing again, is it just on hiatus, or was it a one off?

digitalfoundry

Oh it's a thing, we have several planned, just that the holiday season ramp up always causes stuff to get shuffled and pushed off.
