One of the most frustrating parts of this job is pouring a lot of time and effort into a project, finding profound issues only to find that a patch 'drops' just as you're about to publish. On the one hand, you hope to see problems resolved but on the other, the content you've produced may well be out of date. Is that the case with Oliver's look at the Vice City and San Andreas Definitive Editions? It doesn't look like it as while the patches obviously do something, they don't address any of our core problems with this 'challenged' release.

We'll likely go live on this tomorrow then!

Grand Theft Auto Vice City + San Andreas Definitive Editions - PS5 vs Xbox Series X/S Tested!

We've already given you the full lowdown on the Grand Theft Auto 3 Definitive Edition, but do any of the others in the pack fare any better. Join Oliver Mackenzie for the lowdown on both Vice City and San Andreas. Note: most of this testing is conducted on the launch version of the game. However, we have tested out the patch and found that none of our observations, performance metrics or resolution tests have changed... and even the San Andreas rain effect (which was supposed to have been improved according to the patch notes) seems to be unchanged. Don't worry about publishing this stuff as patches go out you simply know none of it will be fixed. (the core problems that is, models, artistic changes, the AWFUL AI upscaling, etc)

I can't download the videos and I'm not sure why

Fixed it. It was Adguards (Android) fault. I have the site white listed but it didn't like the cross site permission check. Time to submit a bug report.

Bloody hell so much content today, it's almost as if you have some kind of Digital Foundry
