Hey, Rich here. Following on from the post earlier in the week where we couldn't really share much of anything, well, obviously we've all been doing a lot of work on Forza Horizon 5. John's video is spectacular, Alex's PC video is in production and looking good (look out for those Series X quality/performance mode equivalent settings - direct from Playground) while as I write this, my gigantic cross-platform comparison is encoding. Hopefully it'll go up today.

In the meantime, enjoy some early access - with more to follow hopefully tomorrow! In this case, Tom's been taking a look at how the last-gen version of Guardians of the Galaxy shapes up against current-gen. Bearing in mind that it's a demanding game, can the last-gen consoles stand a chance of delivering a good experience? The results are intriguing and occasionally surprising!

Guardians of the Galaxy: PS4/Pro vs Xbox One/X Tested - Can Last-Gen Consoles Keep Up?

Everything you need to know about the state of last-gen consoles running Guardians of the Galaxy. The base machines struggle with low resolutions and sub-30fps frame-rates - though PS4 surprisingly comes out the worst in playability. Meanwhile Xbox One X runs nicely as a 30fps experience, and - shockingly - boasts an even higher resolution than Series S. Tom gives the details in full. I'm really taken aback by the series S performance, and even just the "new" systems in general. I would have expected much better results compared to last gen

d0x We won't see better results until they stop making cross gen games. It's always been that way... Well not always but at least 4 generations
