Something for Jeff to keep in mind if he ever revisits The Big Blue: the version most available is Besson’s director’s cut at 2hrs48min. The US version, that Jeff saw in theaters, was cut by Columbia Pictures to 118mins, from an R to PG, and replaced the original Eric Sierra score with one by Bill Conti. I’ve never seen the US cut, which only exists now on VHS and is disowned by Besson, but the DC is terrific.

For Jeff, and everyone else, Just.One.Mile sounds great. And it reminds me a lot of The Barkley marathons, and the great documentary that was made about it called The Race That Eats ilIts Young. High recommendation if you haven't seen it
