Really appreciated your review of MH370, David. I love documentaries, so I turned it on last week. I couldn't even make it through the first episode. I think that we, as a society, are dealing with the consequences of treating every opinion as equally valid, without examining where it came from. Online, we are bombarded by so much information, it's hard to decipher the truth. Documentaries can be an important tool to counter this. Instead, this one just regurgitates a bunch of conspiracy theories onto a plate and hands it to you, but doesn't have the decency to call them conspiracy theories. It was maddening. A couple of years ago, my son found a show called Drain the Oceans. It is hilariously dramatic and mostly about shipwrecks; however, they have one episode on MH370. I think it is Season 1 Episode 10, and it's actually really meticulous and well done, way more informative that all three episodes of the Netflix documentary combined. They also do a great episode on the Thai cave rescue.

Haven’t watched the MH370 documentary—was going to until I read the reviews—but there’s this excellent article by aviation writer Kyra Dempsey https://admiralcloudberg.medium.com/call-of-the-void-seven-years-on-what-do-we-know-about-the-disappearance-of-malaysia-airlines-77fa5244bf99 that goes through the evidence in detail and arrives at the most likely explanation based on what’s known. Yes, there’s a fair bit of editorializing from the author, but I found it all quite logical and plausible. It’s also a fascinating read.
