Regarding the backlash/fandom topic, I think TLOU 2 is a perfect example of "not wanting to be lumped in with toxic haters." Dave, you hated that game and I also think it was pretty bad compared to the first one. However, so much of the backlash against that game was "I hate lesbians and muscular women and also I love Joel, he's my hero and I think he did the exact right thing" Every time I talk to someone who loved TLOU2 and tell them I didn't like it, I always have to caveat it "Not because I'm a bigot or anything, I hated it for other reasons..."

One of the most harrowing and pivotal episodes of The Walking Dead involved one of the characters giving birth while zombies surrounded her. Personally, I think the pregnant woman in an apocalypse to raise the stakes is realistic but becoming a trope. There was a pregnant woman in Train To Busan too. Yes, I often think about John Williams too. Indeed, his work have scored our childhood. Great note about distinguishing criticism from toxicity.
