I want to try a shortly defend Dave’s point: some people in service level jobs do not get the type of childhood and privilege to be taught how to be decent in the face of adversity. I try to be kind to those who are angry because you don’t know where they’re coming from or what they’re dealing with/what they’ve been through. Especially if they are very low-income service workers.

Great points on both sides, but I'm more with Jeff on this one. Dave, I love you, but if we extrapolate every event or encounter in life into a huge societal issue, I think it's counter productive to actual change. This is something Twitter teaches people, that every thing is a huge deal, interlinked, all of the time. It tricks people into thinking they're enacting change, or having "the hard discussions", but it's all just digital hot air to the people on the ground. Not sure if that all makes sense, just my thoughts!
