Happy New Year!

A little late but Christmas Massacre has finally been completed. I hope you enjoy, 

I wasn't able to have the Stay out of the House update ready in December so I put this one together instead. Hoping to have the SOOTH update ready this month.

1.1 Update

  • Continue option on the Main menu. The game autosaves on each scene, so you can now continue your game where you left off
  • A few fixes

I've been releasing lots of Larry games under different titles, so I'd like to take a second to explain which game is which:

  • Blood Maniac, Texas Butcher and Larry the Butcher will all eventually be the same game and the full version will be called Blood Maniac. Yes, demos vary widely but I'll be combining the existing levels and gameplay into one thing.
  • The final Blood Maniac will be set in the desert, not winter
  • It will use PS2 style graphics like the older Texas Butcher demos.
  • Larry, the Dog and Larry's Mother will be the main characters.
  • It will have open world elements
  • Christmas Massacre is a separate game that also features Larry but isn't cannon with Blood Maniac and is much smaller in scale and simplicity. It mostly exists because I wanted to make a Santa killer game.
  • PS1 art style with a christmas / winter theme

This is game is AWESOME! Just noting that there is a hole in the ground in the back left corner of the first Knife pickup room, fell through the level had to restart.

I noticed that too. There is also one if you go to the bottom of the stairwell in the first level and run towards the wall/door. Its really dark so its hard to notice but I fell through a couple times.

Not sure if this is a bug or not but using the 'slumber party' cheat takes you to your house and then to december 24th Christmas eve after you talk to the tree. I figured it was suppose to take you to Christmas day?

Yeah, kind of a bug. This game isn't suppose to support the cheat menu, but it's still left over from Blood Maniac.

Love the game so far, but i'm having a weird issue where on the first stage, i can't go up stairs. Can go down them just fine.

I had difficulty with this too but I kept running at them and it eventually let me run up. Seemed to work better once I changed the camera angle to first person.

Every time I cross to go to the kitchen I get caught even with the shadow bar being low, and I cant get to the kitchen to get the knife.

are you supposed to spawn with the knife? cause i cant seem to find it, and i dont have it

I liked it but I have some issues with it, namely the hit-detection. I can be right in front of a victim, right click, heavy attack (whatever you want to call it) and it just doesn't count. So I find myself going for the light attack because it seems to hit much more reliably but you're often in a situation where you have to use the heavy attack or the victim will run away as you get 1 or maybe 2 light attacks. I didn't have this problem with the older version of the game. That and there's an issue with conveyance, the first level has way too many open rooms with nothing in there. I know it's re-purposed from Nun Massacre (which I loved) but there's not much indication of where to go. You figure out to sneak past the Nun, okay, But right as you get to the door you have to run for a second from one shadow to the next. I tried crouching, I tried walking, caught every single time. Just make her head move more visibly so I can see exactly where she is looking. Then when I got the knife I sneaked by, killed the chick in the shower and had a similar issue: when you enter the shower and you go around the back, crouching or walking the victim will instantly see you. But if you take the other route closest to the door and crouch she doesn't see you. It's just trial and error and just bad conveyance. Otherwise I love the game. The hit-detection is the biggest issue for me.

I'm having an issue launching the game, it gives me a black screen and just shows the cursor.

The hit detection hasn't been changed since the previous version. You need to pivot your right shoulder into the attack, so you're basically aiming for their stomach if you're behind the victim. It's a trade off between choosing the quick stab, which hits anyone directly in front of you but takes two stabs to kill them and the overhand slash which is slower and requires the correct timing and motion to land but kills in a single hit.

OH YES!!! i loved it! Blood Maniac is one of my favorite game you are working on, beated all de demo you got out till now, i liked this one 2 but i found the level right before you unlock the knife quite unforgiving. hoping for a full version one day! keep doing it!

Damn that took much longer than I expected fun nonetheless and once you get a hang of the stab motion it isn't too difficult. I'd only say alot of the time when you try stab someone they will run and go right through an attack.

By far the most infuriating and aggravating game I've ever played. If your goal is to enrage us so we go kill people for real, you may have succeeded. ; ) I think a great name for the full version would be "Ho-Ho Horror" or "the Naughty List" or "Santa's Naughty List" or "Naughty Santa". highly recommend "projector" setting on this one with 32-bit textures. the projector gives such an awesome coloring effect to the look, alla Suspiria.

I love love LOVE this game, what I do wish though is if there could be a toggle crouch option instead of hold crouch but thats just my personal preference. Also I crouch knifed someone and fell into these backrooms a couple times in a later stage https://youtu.be/20OYQR2FAQs

AHHHHHHH!!!!! I don't want you to rush House, but OMG! I check back 10 times a day for it...can you put a picture above Santa to tease us a little bit? God bless, no one else has captured Gialli in game as you have.

player character get shrinked and cannot open the door! the funny thing is it actually shrinks and enemy doesn't even notice me easily. I download the game and delete the old one but still happens.

my friend, but there is always a way. did you know that electronically, a toggle and hold are the same? if you depress the control for "crouch" and then pause the game and release the key, when you unpause you will have inverted the resting state and thereby the signal and therefore the character will be crouched until you press it again. it also works that way should you want to put your character in one of these games into first-person perspective to make, let us say navigating a maze of obstacles more easy.

Hello! I am a Mac user and I just downloaded the game Christmas Massacre, but when I try to open the application it says "The application "Christmas Massacre can't be opened" Can you please help?
