In trial by combat, Ragna crushed and conquered King Eric the Cruel to become Queen of the Vikings. Believing the males would eventually betray her, Ragna tighten her reign. Along side Valda, her best friend and right hand woman, they strategically amassed and trained female warriors who would issue challenges of trial by combat to systematically crush all ranking males out of power.
