PLEASE READ:

I think I got confused and skipped episode 6.  I remember a lot of comments saying it was mostly things I had seen already.
I didn't realize that this was the last episode until I had already started recording.
I might go back and react to EP.06 later this week if I have time.

But enjoy the extra reaction to Thunderous MV at the beginning of this episode.

Please let me know if EP.06 is worth reacting to or if is performances I have already seen in Kingdom.

I just saw that episode 6 is only 22 minutes long. I can probably react to that tomorrow! Sorry I skipped it. My brain is tired. LOL!

you can watch ep 6 but i personally don’t really enjoying watching it that much to be completely honest, but if there are performances you wanna see, im not complaining LOL, since you finished kingdom week, before you move on completely from kingdom as a whole maybe you could watch the behind episodes for all the kingdom performances! they are on the skz youtube channel & they have them labeled starting from ep 0 to ep 5 of each kingdom performance they did!!

Thunderous uses a lot of traditional imagery and centers around the idea that SKZ are Dokkaebi (Korean goblin-like characters from lore). Dokkaebi are often associated with blue flames (hence the floating blue flames as they crash to Earth from the Heavens) and cause either fortune or mischief depending on the whims of karma. Additionally, the Korean title of this song, Sorrikun, is a traditional word for "singer", specifically for the style of storytelling known as Pansori. Changbin actually uses a Pansori style of spoken word in his second rap verse during the opening (the go back woodcutter there is nothing to cut here line). Sorrikun literally translated as two words is "sound/noise master". Eluding to the idea that not only are SKZ loud and noisy (the album is called NoEasy/Noisy as a clapback to those who called them noisy/construction music) but that they are the masters of noise. A way to clapback to haters while taking ownership of the title as the kings of noise music. The trailer for this comeback continued the Marvel/superhero-esque energy off of their Kingdom performances to start this album. This album also took the literal meaning of sorrikun (singer) to heart during the latter half.

The reason their album No Easy also gets called "Noisy" is actually because a lot of Stray Kids haters call stray kids music loud and noisy. They have also called it construction site music because their songs are noisy like a construction site (hence why God's menu is partially shot at a construction site lol). So yeah that’s just Stray Kids poking fun at the people who hate on them for no apparent reason.

NoEasy was a huge turning point for SKZ - it was their first million seller album and saw a mass chart jump. They also won 6 music show awards (before then they had only won for Miroh and Levanter with 1 each). They had already seen viral success from God's Menu before this, but not commercial success in the same way that NoEasy started. From there, they doubled almost every comeback after with Oddinary, Maxident, 5-Star, and Rock-Star.

i hope you watch ep 6!!! i love all those performances that they choose

Yes, Thunderous is amazing in concert! Especially with the live band they had on their last tour! If you want an iconic performance of it, I would definitely recommend the KBS Song Festival version. It definitely gives the grand feeling that you were expecting here. Here's the link for it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lSbFkEiWg0. They also did a really fun Christmas version of Thunderous as well during the end of year shows, lol.

Seconding this, and the SBS Gayo Thunderous (Christmas Version) is also a must-watch! I know you're not a Christmas person haha, but the performance is like a musical (and not too Christmasy 😉)

For iconic Thunderous perfomances, their MAMA version is my favorite: https://youtu.be/T8ReNXU5-kE?si=Mtscq1ldLD8fVMnA I also love their Christmas version (it's like a Kingdom stage): https://youtu.be/wpQ03UGQIuQ?si=3kvH8bma9cHyxd0Q

My personal favorite performance of Thunderous was during 2021 KBS Song Festival: https://youtu.be/0lSbFkEiWg0?si=NmhE3vHybL5y75KM

I second that! They are fun. The whole Han not talking before I'll be your man gives the performance another layer

Their best live performance of thunderous was probably the new years eve stage(MBC 211231). KBS was also good. Mama rock version is fine but it had volume problems. There is ofc the vampire version.. but my fav part is all the changes Lee Know does - that usually involve buthunting. You should check out a compilation. I'm sure it exists.

If I'm remembering correctly (this was my first comeback so my memory's a lil fuzzy haha, it was a whirlwind of fun), this episode was supposed to be the premiere of Thunderous (like an hour before the m/v came out), but Stays complained so MNET pushed back the premiere to give us an hour with the m/v and album first before the show aired lmao.

At that time I saw The View and really fell in love with Felix and Stray kids and actually became a Stay🥹 lmao. In my opinion this is one of the best albums from Stray Kids ever. And definitely, Noeasy and Thunderous was a turning point in their career. Since then they have been growing consistently and more at each album release. The boys love that kind of wordplays, such as Noeasy-noisy, they do it with words in korean and english too. I think you should react (or watch on your own time) the dance practice of Thunderous And the dance practice of Domino(from the same album) is ICONIC too.

Personally, I think Skz started enjoying the celebrity life from 2022. 2018 was very difficult year for Skz, they were not used to busy and tight schedules on top of that some of them were still attending their school. In 2019, their world tour was canceled due to covid. 2020 Woojin left the group because of that Skz went through a tough time. They had to change and rearrange the Levanter album. In 2021, they couldn't meet their fans and Hyunjin wasn't there. And for skz, they were having a hard time again without a member for no good reason, and they tried not to show their hard times. They had to act like Hyunjin was never there. During Kingdom they were struggling mentally, they were competing and they always had that pressure to make greatest performances of all time. 2021 was definitely busy year for skz they were competing kingdom, preparing noeasy album and year end performances. After that again 2022 they had Oddinary album, Case 143 album, Fanmeeting and World tour. Probably they started prepare all this in 2021 because all of them were starting from February 2022. They always been busy 2023, 2024 is still same as 2022 they have world tour, 2 album release, fan meeting. Stray kids deserve more. They deserve fandom like bts or BP.

2 days ago "Thunderous" performance from Japan concert was released from "Stray Kids" official YouTube channel... That performance is GRAND.

So the clips at the end were things that were filmed after Kingdom, not before (the +20, +40 etc days were the number of days after Kingdom finished). I do love Han's hair like that, there's a Weekly Idol episode where he has that hairstyle with black hair and he looks so good!

SenifyLeah

First of all, don't apologize if you can't post that much. Sick is sick, that's perfectly fine. I hope you are completely well again! I watched your reaction while I was eating, I should have made some notes... Lee Know biased fans are often just like you saw. That was a typical way someone with Lee Know bias would react. Like Idol like fan, haha. You never know their next move. Thunderous is such a good song live. Especially on the Maniac Tour in combination with Domino and Gods Menu. You can see the clip here on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXbzlDgNGE8&ab_channel=%EC%8A%B9%EB%AF%BC%EC%9D%B4%EB%8A%94%EA%B7%80%EC%97%AC%EC%9A%B4%EA%B0%95%EC%95%84%EC%A7%80%EB%95%A8 Stray Kids themselves gave this part of the concert a special name during rehearsals. I don't remember the name exactly, but it emphasized how exhausting these three songs were to perform, haha. If you watch it, feel free to respond, I'm genuinely interested. I don't remember if the comeback show was first and then the music video was released or if the music video came out first. But both were definitely released on the same day. Thanks for the reaction!

Ella Rose

such a fun reaction :)! if you're looking for another skz show to replace kingdom week you could do 'the 9th'? its sooooo old people kinda forget it exists, it goes from pre debut through debut from what I remember and is a cute little look into their lives.

Kame

I loved your reaction. And I loved this episode! I teared up with them when they show hem the greetings from Stays who visited the Café. Their encouraging speeches and SKZ's reactions - suddenly some tears appear on my face.... I am looking for whatever you will react and post next.

Hannah🎸

Please don’t apologize whenever u take a break, I love ur reaction as always I don’t think it’s necessary to go back and react to the ep 6 from what I heard it’s things that was already seen in kingdom legendary war.
