We just got back as well. I was expecting a 2-3/10, but it was twice as good as that... a solid 6/10 for me. Too much "modern D&D tropes" for my tastes... BUT for my son (aged 9) it was awesome! He gave it a 8-9/10... So I'm relieved it wasn't an absolute disaster. There was some serious negative eye rolling for me personally but to counter there were many genuine cool moments. 6/10 for me, 8/10 for the "modern D&D" players like my 9 year old son. And let me sit on that 6/10... maybe over time I'll soften to a 7. 😃

I was easily at 8/10. Just a great time. For my daughter? It was 10/10. Great family fun.

It doesn’t hit our local theater for another week. But my experiences at the local theater have been so bad over the last few years that I may wait until it comes out on a streaming service.
