It's the last month of the summer! That means my favorite season, fall, is just around the corner. I've got a lot of exciting things coming up in the fall months so I'm counting down the days :')

Here's a little review of how this month has gone for me:

CONTINUING IN PROCREATE

Just like last month, I’m continuing to play around with procreate! It always takes me a while to develop a workflow that feels intuitive and easy, so I’m making a lot of quick speedpaintings and rough sketches in procreate to find that ‘click’ where it feels more comfortable. I feel like I’m slowly but surely getting there! Speaking of procreate, did you hear that they are going to launch something new next month? I have no idea what it is, but I’m going to be at the event where they announce what it is, and I’m so excited! Here’s more info about the event in case you want to be there too.

REBOOTING MY CREATIVITY

I’m in a phase where most of the rough paintings I had lying around have been finalized, and I when I thought about what to paint next, my mind blanked out. So I’ve been spending this month making some rough thumbnails and coming up with an over-arching idea for upcoming paintings. Having something to work towards always boosts my creativity! So this month was a month where I tried to focus on coming up with new ideas so that I could work on finalizing those in the coming months. Do you ever find yourself having to rev up the creative engine after a phase of having very few ideas?

As always, thanks so much for your support! I'll be sending out links to this month's google drive folder today. If you have any feedback or questions, please feel free to share them with me through a direct message or e-mail to loishh@gmail.com. Any and all feedback is welcome! I hope you’ll continue to be my patron and enjoy the content coming up next month! ❤

I do not run out of ideas for what to do next, it is rather my limited experience and ability that keeps from painting everything I would like. Almost everything I do is based on the world I have been writing on since time immeorial and I draw from it for new project ideas.
