Hello patrons! Here's some sketches that I made in procreate, trying out a simple and flowy style. I'm also working on brainstorming this month's tutorial, which will be on drawing clouds! So if there's anything specific to drawing clouds that you struggle with, let me know ~ I'd be happy to address it in the video!

I'm so excited to see your cloud tutorial! Tips on sunset clouds and/or getting the colors just right would be great

No question about the clouds but about which procreate brush you used here!

I'm feeling a feng shui about this.

What wonderful timing! I've actually been trying to sketch clouds and was hoping for more help on that. • Would love tips on how you'd find appealing shape, volume, & (esp) contours in the beginning stages. • Big fluffy clouds are great, but how would you also add a flowy feel to them? (not sure if that just became a smoke question) • I also feel overwhelmed with how much 'layering' happens in clouds. Hope that makes sense. A good example with a LOT of layering might be the Breeze painting you did in March 2022. But maybe this is something that's more in the digital painting (?) Would love to compare how much of the process & details change between digital vs traditional medium. Feel free to take or ignore whatever you like. I'm certain the tutorial will be absolutely helpful. Looking forward to it. Thank you!

So glad to hear there’s a tutorial on clouds this month. I am always struggling with clouds. For some reason, when I draw clouds, their shapes doesn’t turn out organic and the colors look like they are not natural.

Finally . . . . clouds! My favourite mode of transport.

I’d like to be able to start to understand “cloud patterns” if there is such a thing! Meaning, is there a predictable way they form and move

thanks so much for sharing this with me! it's super helpful!

Always! like seeing your sketches! I’ve always preferred graphite pencils for sketching….UNTIL I purchased my IPad and started sketching/drawing with the Apple Pencil & Procreate❗️Amazing technology….great freedom of line (+ COLOR)❗️👍🏻. Your skills with the tools within Procreate are inspiring. I did purchase the Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 (touch screen), but have not had the opportunity to ‘begin’ to use it. Still reading and watching tutorials—getting through a learning curve. I’m also VERY comfortable with Procreate.

Your ‘lines’/marks when drawing/sketching figures are soooo nice! Love the line-weight variations.

Beautiful! Also, about clouds.. how do you give them volume? I feel like everything you draw looks like it’s in a 3D space, and I think a lot of artists struggle with that

thank you! I really enjoy that about this brush - the ability to switch between lighter and darker lines quite easily.

i totally get that, the responsiveness of the ipad and procreate is really something special. even though i have a really fast PC, it still isn't able to get the same degree of immediate response as the ipad. that's why it's such a great tool for sketching!
