UPDDATE // the new tier and discord are live! (Patreon)

Hello lovely Patrons! I’m so excited to inform you that the new tier is now live! If you were signed up to the basic tier, you are now a Spark ($5) patron. You can choose to upgrade to the Flame ($10) tier if you want to! Next to that, you can now join the Discord server!

This post will run you through the details of how to upgrade your tier and join the discord server, so keep scrolling if you want to know more!

01 // UPGRADE TO FLAME TIER

Flame tier members will get monthly challenges, Q&A sessions, access to the full tutorial backlog, and get to do a special DTIYS challenge!

02 // JOIN THE DISCORD SERVER

Both Spark and Flame tier members can now join the discord server! If you’re not a Discord member and want to join the server, you can sign up for Discord here: https://discord.com/

In order to interact in the discord server, you have to agree to the rules in the server guide first by clicking on the thumbs up emoji at the bottom of the server guide. So be sure to do that first once you’re in!

What is going on?

I have added a new tier to the patreon, created a discord server, and made some changes to tutorial access for the basic tier. This was announced back in August. You can find out more about these changes here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/update-new-tier-70685254

I’m an annual member but I don’t want to upgrade. Will I lose access to the tutorials?

Annual members will continue to receive a list with links to all of the tutorial videos for the remaining duration of their annual memberships. You will lose access to some of the tutorials in the feed, but you’ll be able to watch them through the external links that I send out each month. Through this system, you will continue to retain access to all of the tutorials until your annual membership is up.

I’m in the server but can’t interact anywhere. What’s going on?

First of all, make sure that you agreed to the rules by clicking on the thumbs up emoji in the server guide! Second of all, if you made any changes to your tier after joining the serer, you have to agree to the rules a second time in order to interact. So make sure you un-click and re-click that emoji to agree to the rules again! After that, you should be able to interact in the channels.

Why do I need to verify my phone before joining the server?

This is a safety measure we have in place to ensure that the server isn’t vulnerable to attacks or spam. We are making it a requirement for all members to verify their phones in order to interact in this server.

I'm a patron and I don’t want to go through the steps to link my discord account to my patreon account. Can you just send me the link or an invite for the Discord?

Unfortunately that wouldn't work. Access is restricted unless you're invited through Patreon/Discord's system, so please follow the steps outlined above in order to gain access to the server!
