Finally sat down to finalize a WIP that I had posted back in March! I might make some changes to this one, but for now I have to let it go. Will definitely be doing more water surface paintings in the future since there is so much to learn there!

I really, really adore how this painting turned out. It reminds me of a holiday in France as a kid, when my mom and I got into an argument with my father and we angrily stormed off into the sea and just swam until reaching a bobbing red buoy, which made us halt and reconsider. By then, the beach had become a blob of color in the distance and around us were only a couple of rocks and some water plants below. I felt like the sea was closing in on me and while it was a little scary, mostly it was magical. It gave a whole new meaning to the ocean being vast and deep and full of wonders. Sadly, there were now cute fish around during my adventure.

The way you do water! I love it. I’ve been trying to emulate the style but it’s not easy lol. Nicely done!

Oh I love how a shadow in the water makes her look like she has the silhouette of a mermaid tail! Beautiful work.

I love how convincingly you've managed to portray the depth of the rocks under the water's surface. Stunning work as ever!

I saw it and it got me stunned. Wonderful colors, rhythm, all. It inspired me to progress and work on my art more now.

I love your work, but your water based pieces are my favourites in summer, you capture the depth and colours beautifully!

what a story! there's something so cathartic about just getting away from the situation as far as you can, but there's always this weird moment where you have to go back haha. i've been there.
