More sketchbook stuff! This time some pose and anatomy studies, as always using the amazing Senshistock as a reference for the poses. I’m becoming quite addicted to the blending stump, so much so that I’m always thinking about using it, even when I’m not drawing. I just see a shadow on the ground and imagine drawing it and immediately blending it out. I just keep thinking about how satisfying it is! Do you guys ever have that when you discover a new drawing technique?

Ah, I recognized the AdorkaStock (née Senshistock) models pretty much instantly...especially like the middle one (reaching up in the air)! 😊👍

So pretty! Did you study every bone and muscle to be able to draw like that?

This might be a silly question, but I have a hard time drawing overlapping figures/sketches that are this close to each other in my own sketchbook, I think out of fear that I'll ruin one of the drawings or that I'm spoiling its sanctity or something silly like that haha — did you ever feel that way/how do you get past it?

these are beautiful wow!!

that makes sense! I'm just really awful at planning out the overall size of my sketch when I set the first lines. I'm so used to being able to resize/adjust it digitally so I usually under/overestimate the size of the sketch as I'm drawing, and they end up overlapping. But i'm ok with it, I like the messy look it creates!

thanks emilia! and nope, I haven't done very detailed anatomy studies. I just observe the reference image and try to take it from there, kind of working from the outside view :)
