It’s been really sunny weather here lately, even warm enough to spend the afternoon in the backyard! So I sat down to have a drawing session in the sun for the first time this year. I missed these kind of sessions! Here are some faces, drawn with a mix of HB mechanical pencil, blending stump and eraser. All of my pencil sketches have been super inspired by Eliza Ivanova’s work lately, especially how she approaches shadows and volume, so if you haven’t seen her art yet, check it out! Hope you all are doing well and have a lovely weekend! ❤

I love how you draw male faces. They have in my mind like an air of Greek statue. Also, ¡Eliza is amazing!

Gracias!!!

Could you do a tutorial on lighting please

That looks like so much fun. We are having a cold snap here, but can't wait to sketch outside again myself. Your sketches look great! I love their lips and mouth shapes.

thank kat! yes the blending stump has definitely made sketching more fun for me. it just helps me work out those volumes so much easier!

hey! I'm using HB here but I do want softer lead since I feel like this is too hard. I purchased some new lead filling and I'm waiting for it to arrive!

Gracias Loish!! Ya nos contarás tu experiencia con las nuevas minas y nos darás como siempre tus fantásticos consejos! 😉❣️

thank you! I'm trying to move away from just lines and get more into the volumes.
