Grabbed my fineliners and made an inked sketch! Lately I feel like I keep adding too much to my inked drawings and it’s hard to scale back from there, so for this one I tried to use a bit more restraint than I normally would. I like how it turned out, I think it worked to keep that mindset of being more careful with my lines! It’s based on this reference photo.

By the way, I finished recording this month’s tutorial yesterday, and today I’ll edit and render it! I’ll post it as soon as the subtitles come in. It’s on drawing masculine faces, which a lot of you requested! So keep an eye out for that post.

Hope you all have a lovely christmas eve and a warm and cozy holiday season!

Oh to be a reference model you randomly decide to draw 🥺

I always love how flowy your lines are in your early sketches. Even though I've come quite far from my scratchy lines, they're still not this confident.

This captured my attention immediately! I love it! I especially appreciate the sketch lines addition to the composition. *chef's kiss*

thanks! honestly, they always turn out way more confident when i am only drawing them as a starting point for inking. because i know they're not the 'final' lines, i can let go a little more :) otherwise i still struggle quite a lot!

It's really nice to see you make more traditional art, it suits you very well !
