Hey patreon buddies! I tried to make a process video for my lemur sketches, but it backfired pretty badly. The video stopped recording randomly about 25 minutes into the process, the file was corrupted and it took ages to finally get it to work in my editing program, I dipped my head into the shot a bazillion times, and the lighting is not great. All in all, I feel this is a failed video! But I feel like it’s a waste to throw it away, since maybe someone might find it helpful. So I’m posting it anyways and will take all of the filming issues as a lesson for the next process video ~ I hope someone enjoys this at least haha! I will do better next time!

Im glad you're putting it up. I have had many videos not make it to publish and I really respect that you're making it a learning process. Also I just wanna see you draw lemurs lol

Still happy to see this, Lois! Thank you for putting it up for us. Any process video you post is always simply gold. <3

I'm so happy you decided to post it anyway! I find it a great help to watch the process, even if it's not "complete". After all, the whole sketching process is recorded <3

This was fun to watch! Have you tried the pentel brush pens? I think you’d have a lot of fun with them!

Hi Loish! Sorry if you already responded to this before but I'm a very beginner (and not young) and my lines are either too unsure or trying to be too perfect. One of my favorite things about your art if the fluidity of your lines. Is there a tip/exercise/tutorial or anything you could suggest to improve there? When I try typical exercises like draw straight lines or circles, it's very boring and I feel like it's not improving my fluidity of lines, rather the control? Anyway, any suggestion would be appreciated :)

Loish

hey anne-claire! i think the main tutorial i can suggest for that is my inking tutorial which specifically addresses creating fluid lines! you can find it here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/tutorial-with-53897099
