Here is part 2 of the real-time process for my river speedpaint from two months ago! You can find part 1 here.

As always:  It’s real-time, and the total process to make the painting was about 3.5 hours. That's why the process is split into two parts! If you want to watch it at a faster speed, just click the gear icon and choose the speed you like!

Hope you like it and let me know if you have any questions!

Hey, can you explain that last part where you do a lens correction? Is it to give it a certain depth of field?

Loish

yes! it's to get a chromatic aberration effect, which makes it feel morel ike a photo.

Hey, I absolutely adore this piece! I had a question- where do you place your reference images? Do you use another screen?

Loish

thanks so much! yep, I have the reference up on a second screen.

Definitely my favorite environmental piece you have done! I can just feel how humid and fresh it is! How do you get the gradient color to match the one in your main pallet without that annoying gradient window pop up? It looks like you simply use the color pick tool, but that doesn't seem to working for me.

Loish

hey maya! indeed, I just activate the tool with the shortcut "g" (or shift + g if it's on paint bucket, to switch to gradient) and then use alt + click to select the color! be sure that you're using the gradient tool and not a gradient map! i hope this helps :)
