My final drawings for week 2 of brushtober! I did the sunset piece first and I really fought with the drawing. I just couldn't make it work. But then when I did the swirly one, it finally 'clicked' for me. I started painting rather than drawing. I think it's because I was  more patient with the drying process (also used a blow dryer which was helpful!) and found a brush that really worked for me.

The swirly one is about my chaotic brain when I have time to think and end up ruminating. I'm someone who really needs to keep myself busy, otherwise I just fall into really intense thoughts and get stuck in them. Dealing with that has been tough this year because there's way less distraction and 'change of scenery' in my life. I'm figuring out new ways to deal with it though. Like painting with ecoline! haha. Hope you like these!

Your strokes are so smooth and swirly. Love this flowy. My lines are so stiff

I really love them both, to be honest! They spoke speak something and they're both mesmerizing in a way.

That girl sitting there... I have questions for her. Are you a sim? Do you feel like you have no control over your life? Anyways that's my life now. I had a customer yesterday that needed to get tested for covid because he was contact trace because someone he knows has covid... my face was pure shock and now I feel like this girl you painted.

They’re both gorgeous and the first one is so relatable. I have the same problem, I’m someone who always needs to have changes in scenery and I need to keep myself busy or else I get really lost in my deep thoughts that with too much time in my hands easily get dark and too deep. This pandemic has hit me hard but I’m managing it better at the moment and feeling much better. I’ve been learning a lot about myself and new ways of dealing with it that don’t necessarily depend on being always distracted now, which is good. I hope you’re doing well and being kind to yourself! :) And remember, even if the sky gets cloudy, there’s always a blue sky underneath it, and we’ll all see it again soon enough. ❤️🤗

SO relatable! being distracted helps, but it is not really a way of dealing with the issue head-on. this year has forced me to do that, and while it's hard, i feel like it will help me more in the long term! thanks for your kind words :)

ugh, that's terrifying. i hope you'll be ok! sometimes people don't infect other people even when they do have covid. the sim thing is unintentional but i like this twist on it, it works for the idea! hha
