Some drawings from my sketchbook! I spent an afternoon sketching and also filmed the process for these. I’ll upload the videos soon! For now, hope you enjoy these!

Also, tutorial #3 is rendering now and will be posted this week :)

I'm excited for the videos of these! You don't really see a lot of traditional drawing/sketching videos, and I find them very helpful :)

The dept and dynamism that these sketches have is very impressive. How do you decide which line to thicken and where to just let it be messy?. Also where do you find your references

I think the thicker lines are for the areas w more depth/shadows. Also, if you need references, Croquis Café is an awesome resource!

Love it! What sketchbook and pencil did you use? ^^

So sorry that happened.

The large portrait is exceptional. I like the smaller eyes and planes of the head. Your "hatching" is very skilled. I hope to see something like that more fully rendered, perhaps with line dominating color. You are an inspiration!

i get most of my references from senshistock, and the hair one from a google search for "hair underwater"! haha. as for line thickness, it's a lot about adding movement - the thicker areas slow down the movement of a line and thinner ones speed them up. a mix of both creates a kind of dance! i might make a tutorial about that in the future!

Beautiful! I just love how you overlap the drawings. It has such a fun look!

I love the way you accentuate certain lines with the thicker lines, also putting sketches over the top of each other. It looks so great.
