Hey everyone and welcome to another devblog. The work on Pigskin xenotype is wrapping up and we are slowly progressing to release. The mod has just now entered testing on our testing discord, which you can join by following the link below:

The development has been quite smooth - we did not encounter any major hiccups. There was however one gene we had to remove - Litterbirth. Turns out that changing the amount of children born requires a very complex transpiler - and there already is a mod out there adding litter births. The issue is, we would have to essentially make the same transpiler ourselves, and there is only one way to do it, so even though it isn't theft, I'm sure some of the people would treat it as such.

I have tried reaching out to the mod author that made it but to no avail.

As such, for now we're removing litterbirth from the Pigskin mod.

The rest was relatively easy to do, so we're now turning our focus to the Insector xenotype - the full list of mechanics and genes will soon drop on Patreon for you to see.

While we're on the subject of Insectoids, I will also be posting a Suggestions thread about what you'd like to change in Vanilla Factions Expanded - Insectoids. I have some big plans to clean up the mod, but I'm interested in seeing what you would like to see in that mod.

Now, let me post the infographics for pigskins. Next step is making cool screenshots, and then proceeding to release!

Looking great, very excited for this one. One question: You mention that pawns with porkflesh will consider human and pork meat cannibalism. Any plans to allow it so that they're ok with human meat but treat pork as cannibalism (pigskin supremacy)? Perhaps via a precept.

How does the "Organ Regenration" transfer into in-game years? With other words: How many HP does the average organ feature? With other other words: If I would harvest a liver from my pigskin employee (which I obviously would never do!), how long would it take to regrow the organ so I can harvest & sell ... *err* save another life?

I'm not sure if Liver won't cause death if extracted, but a lung for example has 15 HP. Organ regeneration regenerates 1 HP every 15-30 days. This means it will take 225 - 450 days to regenerate a lung fully, but that's without accounting for natural wound healing: Base healing rate is 8 HP per day, which means Organ regeneration would more or less mean that a lung regenerates fully every ~3 days if there are no other injuries.
