Hey guys!

This is one of a few 'historical segments' in our Lore book - this one explains what went down on Sorne, why did it go down on Sorne, and why are there Insectoids absolutely everywhere now.

Yay ! Didn't really know what to expect from this, I'm rather satisfied and happy to see the Black Hive from Alpha Animals getting a small cameo ! I like the small tidbit at the end that explain some genetic regulations. Given what I know about Genetic Rim and how every animal is "spliced" with another, and the Arkology preview where dinosaurs are obviously genetically modified, it makes sense and gives a bit more shape to this aspect of the lore. Great work !

Looks great as always, however, I noticed on page 59 third paragraph, it states that "...the nest of insectoids had been killed by the Insectoids." I was just wondering if it was meant to say the nest was killed by (the Mechanoids)?

Love the extra background lore; this is a great origin story. Personally, if I ever had to explain it I was just going to say that at some point Insectoids were made, and they went rogue and tried to kill their creators; at some point Mechanoids were made and went rogue and tried to kill their creators; and whichever one came second was somebody's brilliant idea to fight the first one off. Regarding the whole deal with it being made illegal across the whole galaxy to use "pure" genomes, how would that be enforced? Rimworld FTL is to my recollection only barely FTL at all, with going between planets requiring sticking people in cryptosleep pods for generations (and then usually waking them up when the ship randomly explodes over a random world).
