Check out the latest update to the roadmap.

Notable changes:
Various mods moved to 'released' tab.
Vanilla Furniture Expanded in development and should be ready to release soonish.
Vanilla Factions Expanded - Ancients as well as Rim-Effect Asari and the Reapers almost complete and will soon go into beta testing.
Added Vanilla UI Expanded to the roadmap
Added Rim-Effect Drell to the roadmap
Moved Vanilla Trading Expanded forward, ahead of Painting Expanded.
Changed the preview image for Vanilla Vehicles Expanded
Revealed one mystery mod to be: Vanilla Warwalkers Expanded.

All in all, I think we are making a sexy and considerable progress.

What's warwalker gonna focus on? The other expanded stuff is fairly self explanatory. Also, I'm super looking forward to genetics expanded. I'm ready to make some mutant animals. :P

Hyped! I was playing today and was finding mental breaks to be a bit repetitive. Quick unofficial suggestion, but have you ever thought of Vanilla Expanded - Mental breaks?

Warwalkers is the RimWorld name for the gigantic Mech suits that are added in Ideology, rusted and scattered around the map. Now, imagine if you could build them, Mechwarrior style, and add various cannons and upgrades to them.

Isn't there lore on Xenohumans, namely subspecies of humanity who have adapted themselves genetically to foreign hostile environments across the galaxy? Have you considered doing anything with them, perhaps in VE Genetics or some later mod? Either way, I can't wait to see what you and the rest of the VE team come up with, it's all amazing :D

Odd question. Will Warwalkers be dependant on the vehicles framework? I'm going to use both either way, just curious.

So how much is the projected release of the 'vehicles framework' I've heard so much about pushing back the Vanilla Vehicles and Warwalkers mods? From what I hear it's been a long time coming-if it suddenly comes out tomorrow do they get bumped up because, well, it's an option to work on them in-depth now? Also, I agree, progress so far is epic.

Me too! If it's a laser (and not particle wibbly-wobbly stuff...), then to qualify as "artillery" instead of just.....a big turret or emplacement like the HMG complex, it would probably be either satellite-fired or you're bouncing it off of some kind of mirror. Lasers are mainly used as direct-fire weapons because they are very direct. Of course, using mirrors to bounce your artillery beams off of could be an interesting challenge-maybe the killbox of the future involves forcing enemies to walk within range of the Disco Ball of Doom?

From an earlier roadmap: "Based on Lore primer, humanity developed large Graser (Gamma ray laser) weapons for ship to ship combat. What if you got your hands on the tech and built a Gamma ray artillery in your base? What if I told you that it renders all power armors useless as Gamma ray locks them in place for easy picking?"

Vanilla Biomes Expanded - Anima Forest was on a previous roadmap (August 2020) and was retitled as a Regrowth project in the March 2021 project. Much like VFE - Classical, they seem to have been pushed down the line considerably. I can't find any mention or rebranding of VBE - Primordial or Underworld since their announcement over a year ago.
