Hey hey hey What's up.
Before I sign out for the week, I'd like to show you something I spent my last two days on.
It's a cheeky unnanounced mod that wasn't on the roadmap, but this is the gist of Vanilla Expanded - do cool shit when we want to. Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Junk will add more junk to vanilla map generation.
Junk is a well received feature that adds a lot of cool character to the maps. You probably noticed ancient parking lots, busted cars, a tank here and there etc.
Well, we're expanding on that with a new selection of junk items - some of them related directly to other Vanilla Expanded mods.
It's nowhere near finished but we have a solid chunk of the art done already. Lets take a look.
Ancient containers, rusted and abandoned for generations, can now spawn among crates and barrels.
New cars will now populate your parking lots.
A destroyed APC will now spawn on the 'battlefields' with tanks, tank traps and warwalkers.
A crashed dropship will spawn with a crashed shuttle and a number of rusted, old space debris.
Ancient mechanoid ship parts can also now appear, creating a direct link to VFE-Mechanoids!
And on top of that, numerous other small bits and bobs to spawn here and there.
I'm also teaming up with Neronix to deliver ancient railroad stations with tracks and trains!
Alright guys, I'm signing out for the weekend, and I will be back on monday dropping more indepth analysis of Ancients, a new faction mod we're developing. I will go through every single mechanic with you.
