I totally forgot about flapjack, I didn't notice the parallels until you pointed those out. There's also a handful of easter eggs in gravity falls to rick and morty and vice-versa, since Alex Hirsh is (or was?) good friends with one of the creators. Oh, and thanks for the content you two 👍

He is not friends with either creator thank god, he is besties with the Reglar Show/Flapjack and Adventure time creator tho....to my knowledge. Roiland and Harmon were before Alex's time but he went to animation school with the other guys and they went on to make 3 amazing shows concurrently.
