Jack does have some control issues and thats one of the reasons why his relationship didn't work out and why he's acting that way on the island. Remember the man of science vs faith argument he had with locke. I agree though that it wasn't entirely his fault. Sarah has a lot of blame too and she unfortunately idealized him when he saved her. Never a good idea to marry your patients. I do think the reasoning you mentioned is why she left him, she just said it in less words lol

Fun fact: In the flashbacks, Jack stares for a moment at the X-rays behind him. In the corner of the X-rays there is the date 16 Nov 2005. This is impossible, since the date of the plane crash was September 22nd 2004. Also, no reaction from you to the Other guy saying at 32:04: "Bring her out Alex"? 🤔
