I can't believe we're already done with October

WHAT HAS HAPPENED:

The Hee Bee Bee Gees videos are all out and I had a chance to take a little break last week after pushing real hard for many many many weeks! I went to Disneyland and found out that I stole my idea of a Vampire/Werewolf collaboration album from the Haunted Mansion (pictured above). Disney's lawyers are currently hollering at me through my windows and slipping lawsuits through my mail slot. It's a nightmare.

WHAT I'M WORKING ON:

Same stuff as I mentioned last month!

  • November is a silly little song that I have the full idea of but need to write/record.
  • December is a cooking video that I'll be filming this week because I'll be working with a pal to help me edit it!

Karen and I are gonna be away for a good chunk at the end of November/beginning of December due to HER BOOK GETTTING PUBLISHED WHICH YOU CAN PREORDER HERE IF YOU SO DESIRE (we'll be doing events for it in NYC on Dec. 5-9)! As a result, I know I won't have a lot of free time for editing, which is why I'm hiring someone whose style I really like and trust to help me with the cooking video edit. If all goes as planned, I should still be publishing two videos before the end of the year!

WHAT ELSE:

My YouTube is now dangerously close to 1 million subscribers, which still feels pretty surreal to me. There's a part of me that wants to hit that milestone and then disappear into the woods for the rest of time so that people can say "Hey what happened to that weird guy who made the siblings song?" and the answer can be "I have no idea what you're talking about." But now that I've written my plan out on Patreon, I guess I probably won't be doing that.

I probably should do SOMETHING though, even if it's just a special stream or a thank you video. If anyone has any good ideas for an esoteric thing to do as a celebration for that, please let me know. Or maybe I will stay perpetually at 996k subscribers and never have to worry about that. That could be nice, too.

THANKS EVERYONE!

Talk more soon.

Grats on a bunch of good work and on taking good breaks! A celebratory something sounds lovely but only if you can work within your capacity. See you soon! In like 5 minutes even

I've heard that the best way to celebrate any occasion is brunch.

So glad you got a chance to rest! As far as 1mil, I think you should just eat a big slice of your favorite cake, or pie if that's your preference.

I feel your siblings should have to answer a couple questions to celebrate, them or the members of 2winz^2.

Before the pandemic, I was looking forward to attending a panel at SxSW where you were going to talk about the making of Unraveled. Since that got canceled, I think making a video or stream on it would be a very cool way to mark a special event.

Streaming idea: Read us stories from a fancy book prop. Maybe make it holiday themed by the fireplace, throw on a droopy robe'n'hat. Pick a theme for us to choose from (fairytale, scary, festive, etc) and we can send in requests while streaming.
