what did that fireplace crackling sound like to you? It was the only way I could think of to create a realistic fireplace crackle sound. On second thought, wood-wick candles also burn quite fireplacey, but I don't have one of those. But anyway, this is what recording layered sounds looks like 🤣 Pumpkin seeds make such an aggressive crackling and popping sound when they come out of the oven, as they cool down. It's insane.

I also wanted to link this video for you guys. I had this open on my computer for I swear 4 hours the other day, it was SO calm and soothing. I want to enter into that world.

I don't struggle with sleep, but I actually found white noise channels are fun to listen to really help you zone out and just forget you exist. Sorry if that sounds dark, but it's like that for me and it's the best feeling 💯 Here's one of my favorite ones https://youtu.be/q9x_mHZLpYI?si=csU_rumLQ52P_b1H

Thanks for the video suggestions! I usually use those sorts of videos as background noise for writing or working, and then use more traditional ASMR for sleep. :)

Exactly! I do the same. Those channels are fantastic for working, while you get ready, etc
