Hey guys, how were your holidays? I hope good? Do you have plans for New Years? We're just going to be with 5 other friends, a quiet night in with some lasagna, but we decided not to do anything excessive or heavy for dinner because everyone still feels full and gross from the holiday-days.😂

So the idea for this video came to me super randomly but as soon as I had it, I immediately started setting everything up. How do you like my fireplace 🤣 still can't believe how cozy this setup ended up looking. I just thought it might be a nice relaxing video after the chaos of the holidays, and right before the last stretch of energy we'll need for New Years.

I filmed this before I had bought the harry potter book i'm reading, so in this video I ended up reading my italian practice book and then my Oscar Wilde book. And on THAT note... I watched the first Harry Potter movie 2 days ago and... WOW!?? I realized just how little I remembered. I must have watched it like 15 years ago because it was almost like watching it from scratch. It's incredible. I'm going to probably wait until I read the next book, to watch the second movie. It'll be a while though because reading Harry Potter in Italian is not easy at all. The important thing is though, that it doesn't feel like work, it just feels like a way to relax, which is always an effortless way of practicing and learning another language. Over time, I've found that I can't force myself to sit and read a textbook and take notes, it just doesn't work for me and I don't absorb the information. But with reading, I've found that it doesn't put pressure on me to memorize verbs and conjugations, it just feels like a leisurely activity. I'm just so tempted to binge watch the rest of the movies.... 😂 Or maybe I can divert my attention to lord of the rings...

What languages do you guys speak, or are learning, or would like to learn? I did french (mandatory in canada) and spanish in highschool but don't remember anything lol.
