On Thomas: The most info so far we were told by Richard when he discovered Miranda and Thomas painting way back in S1. "The portrait in your room depicts you alongside Lord Thomas Hamilton, son of Alfred Hamilton, the lord proprietor of these Bahama Islands…You see, I’ve had extensive dealings with the earl over the years, and so I’d long heard of the tragedy that befell his eldest son. But Thomas’s wife, long rumored to be the cheating sort, had begun a torrid affair with her husband’s closest friend, a promising young officer in His Majesty’s Navy. Upon discovering the affair, Thomas went mad with grief. His despair was so great, even the asylum couldn’t protect him from himself. As for Thomas’s wife, she’s said to have fled London along with her lover, partly out of shame, partly to escape retribution. Given the facts at hand, I am forced to assume that the lover is none other than our friend Captain Flint." You thought at that time that Richard was mistaken because you thought Flint killed Thomas on Maria Alayne ship attack. The show did not told you yet who was killed on Maria Alayne (and maybe the show will not tell you... you have to keep watching to find out :)) I love Silver being out of a loop on Max's rise in power. Both of them had surprising rise in prominence in their respective storylines. Far cry from their early S1 position. I also love Jack having to go outside of his comfort zone and use brute force instead of just his brain.

Wanda Did Nothing Wrong

Jack isn’t happy to be away from Anne. He’s happy to be away from the brothel and all the whores. A bit of peace & quiet lol. Miranda and Flint have spent 10 years with a lot of resentment between them. Miranda at James for not listening to her when she warned that they were in danger, and James at Miranda for convincing him leave without trying to get Thomas out. I would imagine that both resentments grew when they got word that Thomas had died. You can see they still have such love for each other, they just need to start being okay with decisions that were made that they can’t change. I love the little scene of Flint asking why Miranda didn’t just walk away, instead she went and got Eleanor. Shes just like, I couldn’t, and him thanking her. And Miranda is right about keeping Abigail calm. They’re not taking her as a prisoner to be exchanged. They’ve “rescued” her and are taking her back to her father. Seeing as they want something from Peter Ashe, and Abigail hasn’t done anything wrong, it would just be the decent thing to treat her with some comfort and respect. The scene between Max and Anne is so well lit. It’s one of my favourites. And I love Max being like, you may have a death wish but I will not let you or anyone else kill you.
