For the people you know: Leng is Nick, Gaipa is Ray, Heart is the class president from My School President, and Li Meng is the music club leader from My School President. There are a couple other familiar faces that will come later. The one you said kinda looks familiar in the theme song is actually ‘Daddy Dan’, hahaha, it’s funny you recognized him, I didn’t expect you to. Also! Not sure if you noticed, but Wen is the actor that showed up at the very end of Only Friends, the one who walks into the hostel as the first guest. I think that’s all the actors you might know… Like you said, it’s fun to see the character of Leng after watching Only Friends, he’s sooo different from Nick. I have such a soft spot for Nick, but love Leng as well. The first time I watched this episode I already really loved Li Meng. I think the different generations of Li Meng and Heart versus Wen, Gaipa, Leng versus slightly older Uncle Jim is so fun to explore. Jim is a very simple guy, but quite charismatic in a quiet, not-trying way. I love the relationship between Li Meng and Jim as the show continues.
The first night between Wen and Jim is very sweet, and I love the scene with Jimbo the next morning. Yeah, it seems like even if you consider it partly Li Meng’s fault for dropping the bottle, that family is obviously wealthier than Jim and Li Meng, just pay for it yourselves! I also feel like even though Heart did lie to his parents, he wasn’t really given an opportunity to say anything because everyone was yelling and talking and he didn’t understand. So even if he wanted to admit it, it wasn’t very easy to follow along or know what exactly his parents were telling Li Meng. I’m glad you enjoyed it!!

That's a very good point that you brought up in that poor Heart couldn't follow the conversation and had no idea what was going on.
