LOVED THIS REACTION !!! First of all, thank you again Jessie for reacting to it, i'm truly glad that you're enjoying the show. Secondly, for being completely honest, this group of friends (becca, cam and will) is so special and dear to me, i really think that their relationship is very real, very deep and very touching. Like every time the group share a moment together, i start tearing up. they all have a such a unique bond which is important for Mia's journey to recovery. And yeah, you're completely right about the work that a person who has an eating disorder have to do in order to be better. It's not just the physical aspect of it, not just the weight, your mental health also has to be in the right place. Or at least better, It's not that easy unfortunately. Regarding the family's situation, yes Vivian (the mom) needs to be a little more attentive to her daughter, it feels like she wants to detach herself as much as she can from Mia and her eating disorder. Then again, she made a major effort with the condom scene. Main issue is that, she's a person of power (due to her job as an architect) and that's the main reason of why she wasn't around much in the past. So i'm glad that at least, Mia has a good relationship with Alex and her dad. This is honestly so rare on tv to have this kind of dynamic. Carli is such an awesome character, and addition to the show. I loved that ending scene with her and Will singing together, that was super wholesome. Also the scenes with Dr Nell and Mia always move me, they're dealing so rightly with important issues that need to be addressed more and you so right to mention that most of the time, individuals are so insensitive to people who suffer from any kind of illness. If you're depressed, all you got to do is "go outside", "why are you not trying, don't you want to get better?" and if you have an eating disorder. well "eat more" or "eat less" which is so frustrating. And that's why you truly cannot understand what someone is going through unless it's happening to you too. And that's why, this show is so meaningful and deserves to be see by people. Alison is such a very interesting character, same as you i found her very irritable in the pilot especially with the whole drinking thing. but yes here on episode 2, she seems already more open and nice to Mia, by buying her the dress and leaving the pub to go after her. overall, she has one of the greatest development so can't wait for you too see that. You will understand her more lately. And for Theo's behaviour, i 100% agree with you, the guy doesn't have a amount of bad in his body but he should have told her that it wasn't going to be a date directly and that other people would show up eventually, when he asked her on the field, that would have a been a better move. I agree in that Mia and her friends really do all share a special bond. It's one of my favorite parts about the show becuase it just feels different from any other friend group, they truly feel like a family. I'm so glad you enjoyed it and look forward to doing more!
