First and foremost... I am so sorry to hear that you are sick, Jessie. I truly hope you feel better very soon. And I'm so sorry to only add more to you feeling so bad, by forcing you to watch two of this show's most heartbreaking episodes. Please take care of yourself. And please know... If you need to postpone watching anymore episodes for me this month, and hold them over until October, I completely understand. I don't want you to feel pressured to watch all ten episodes per my requests this month, if you really don't feel well enough to do so. Your health and true enjoyment for the shows and movies you're watching are what are most important. :) Happy Birthday to my absolute favorite actor of all time... Jim Caviezel!! You happened to post your marvelous reactions that I loved watching so much, on the perfect day, Jessie! Jim Caviezel turned fifty-five years old today, and he's still such a phenomenal actor. And I absolutely love him!! The Crossing- Thank you so very much for such a marvelous reaction for one of the absolute best episodes throughout all of Person of Interest, Jessie!!! This episode and the next episode, are my absolute favorite episodes throughout this entire phenomenal show in spite of how heartbreaking they are. They are just absolutely phenomenal!! Reese, Carter, Fusco, Shaw, Finch, and Root are all incredible! I love, love, love it!! Even though we do sadly see Carter's death in the very end. So tragic. :( Jim Caviezel's acting is absolutely phenomenal all throughout this episode, just like he is incredible in every episode! But especially in the ending within this episode, as Reese is heartbreakingly holding Carter while assuring her that her son will be okay and taken care of. I love, love, love the emotional breakdown we see from him. And poor Reese is broken yet again. This poor man can't catch a break. Because he was already pretty broken before Carter is killed. And now? He first loses Jessica, and now Carter too. So heartbreaking, and I cry during this entire final scene every time I watch this episode. I also love how Carter pleads with John to not let her death break him or turn him into the dangerous man she used to fear Reese was before she finally came to learn that he and Finch were really heroes. She isn't able to finish her words to him, but you can tell this is what she is trying to say to him before she dies, after John had talked to her about how he nearly put a bullet in his head back before he and Carter met upon him being so broken by Jessica's death. So beautiful. And she knows Reese well. As for why Carter is sadly killed off in the middle of this series, and so soon within season three... Sadly, Taraji P. Henson felt it was time for her to leave Person of Interest. She wanted to move on from this show so she could move on to other projects, just like Jennifer Morrison and a number of other members from the main cast from Once Upon a Time were ready to move on to other things after season six ended. Taraji P. Henson acted in a few movies, and then got her next big break upon becoming the star of the show... Empire. A show I sadly never had any interest because it's not the kind of show I enjoy. However, she absolutely loved playing in Empire. Plus... There were also rumors that there was some discord between Taraji and others working on Person of Interest too. Maybe between her and other cast members, the show's creators, or writers? I don't know for sure. Nothing definitive was ever shared, so no one knows why or if these rumors were even true. Now, in regards to Reese kissing Carter... I don't at all see this kiss as anything romantic, forced or otherwise. I feel like this is more of Reese's way of expressing to Carter just how truly grateful to her he is for helping him to find a reason to live, and because he does believe he's going to die this night in order to make sure that Carter can live. Although... I do believe that Reese has also grown to love Carter for being the hero and brave woman he's always seen her to be. If Carter had lived, I believe that a romance could have grown between Reese and Carter over time. Because you can see how she feels about Reese too. But I just think this kiss is simply meant to show us how much both Reese and Carter have grown to respect and truly care about one another very deeply, but more than anything romantic. Also... The kiss happened to be Jim Caviezel's idea and decided to go for it. Taraji P. Henson loved the scene, and so did this show's creators and writers. I love the moment Reese and Carter are sharing the stories of their close calls, especially when Cater talks about how giving birth to her son was the scariest moment, followed immediately by the happiest moment for her when she knows she and her son will both be okay. And even more so... I love hearing John confess to Carter that he was on the verge of killing himself by putting that bullet in his brain on the night they first met, and then was soon after brought to Finch, who also helped save his life in a big way too. This moment for John... For Jim Caviezel, is absolutely marvelous!!! I absolutely love it!! Phenomenal acting!!! Also... I absolutely love the moment with Fusco saying goodbye to his son while on the phone with him, believing that they're both going to die because of Simmons and the rest of H.R. Until Shaw amazingly saves his son and kills the corrupt cop there to kill his son. I love the moment Shaw assures Fusco that his son is safe, then goes on to apologize to him for being unable to be there to save him. Both Fusco and Shaw are fantastic throughout this episode as well! And I also love the moment in the end when Fusco turns around to look at Shaw in the backseat of his squad car to thank her for saving his son once more. Yeah... They've certainly become good friends now. :) Fabulously... Fusco breaks his own thumb after Simmons and the rest of the cops break his other fingers, and Fusco is able to beat down Simmons' friend and kill him upon escaping from his cuffs. I have already loved Fusco since the very beginning of this show, long before this fantastic moment for him. Because I just absolutely love the banter between him and Reese, as well as with Finch too. But if I didn't, and I watched this scene for the first time... I would definitely love him after this episode. Thankfully... Carter and Reese succeed in getting Quinn to the FBI, and while Reese is arrested by two good cops thanks to Finch's help, Carter is thankfully able to get Quinn to the FBI and all seems well. H.R. is being taken down at last! However, it's unfortunate that Simmons manages to escape and hide. Simmons is a fantastic villain! I hate him, but in the way we are meant to hate him. And I love to hate him. He's easily one of my favorite bad guys throughout this entire show. He is most certainly scum, but I still love his character. And while I hate him all the more for killing Carter and severely wounding Reese, I love this moment when he suddenly appears out of the shadows to try to kill Reese and kills Carter, then shoots Reese again in the end. This twist... While undoubtedly tragic and maddening... For me, it is one of my favorite moments within the entire episode. It's so sad and yet so incredibly acted. And it certainly makes me so angry and hate Simmons all the more, just as we are meant to hate him. This ending with Carter's death and Reese getting severely shot multiple times is tragic and heartbreaking. And Reese couldn't even defend himself and Carter because he didn't currently have any weapons. Like I said... I cry every time I watch this tragic ending. Anyone who loves this phenomenal show surely must feel the same way about this moment. Just as you were in complete shock. And the moment with the phone ringing, as the Machine tries to call Finch in time to warn him about Simmons just as Finch starts across the street to join Reese and Carter... Brilliant! I love it! The ending of the previous episode made us very scared for Carter, but then Reese saves her just in the nick of time, and a hit is put out on him. And then, Fusco is abducted by Simmons, and his son is nearly killed. Once again, making us believe that one of our main characters was really gonna die. Either Carter, Reese, or Fusco. I wasn't really afraid for Reese, in the sense that he was actually going to be the main character we were about to lose. Because Reese is this show's number one character along with Finch. However, I was afraid for him because we have seen how broken he already has been ever since Jessica's death. And he now much worse off with Carter's death. With this being said... I was absolutely terrified that we might lose either Fusco or Carter. And I absolutely love them both so much. Thankfully, Fusco survives, while in the end... It is in fact Carter that we tragically lose. And lastly... I love Root's conversations with Finch too. I love that Finch doesn't allow his emotions get the better of him when Root pleads with him to let her go so she can help him save Reese. And yet... I love that we can see just how worried about Reese Finch really is, because Finch really has grown to care about Reese very much. He has undoubtedly grown to care about Reese just like he cared about Nathan. As his closest friend, and I really love their friendship. So, seeing Finch resist Root's temptation in spite of how much he might want to use her to help him save Reese, is fantastic! And Root is almost scary in this episode too. Especially when she offers Finch her condolences when Finch refuses her help, believing without any doubt that Reese was as good as dead. The way she taunts Finch using Reese' s impending death as a bargaining chip is fantastic and so sad too. Unfortunately, it is really Carter who pays for it instead. Overall... This is really a phenomenal episode from beginning to end!!! So, thank you so very much for your reaction once again, dear friend! I am so happy that you love this episode so much too! And I really appreciate your thoughts throughout the episode and afterwards too. As I have ever since I've begun watching your reactions for this phenomenal show I love so much. So, thank you!! Until next time... Sincerely, Heidi

Jessie Dobbie Reactions

Aww thank you Heidi and no worries at all! Even though they were so emotional they were such great episodes and I really did enjoy them! And Happy Birthday Jim!

Wanda Did Nothing Wrong

You can’t be mad at The Machine. Shes never spoken to Finch. Only ever sent him numbers. Which is what he wanted. And she couldn’t have given them Carters number earlier because she wasn’t in danger until Simmons showed up to kill Reese.
