Yes, thank you for the re-reaction!!! The initial premise for this show is just so good and I feel like the pilot manages to embody everything practically perfectly right from the get-go (barring a sentence or two for the plot details that would later be revised like Regina poisoning Snow because she was prettier than her). Normally I try to keep any comments pretty organized and ideally shorter, but just some random thoughts: *Storybrooke is such a magical setting. *Mark Isham did an amazing job as a composer throughout the show. Typically when I think of a show considered to have good music it's due to the licensed tracks they use, but this show gets so much from its own backing. *Without trying to put him down in later seasons, I feel like Henry's acting was actually best in Season 1. I don't know if it was better direction or the innocence of childhood or what but he manages to sell his lines as the sassy yet lovable scamp so well. *It's so cute to watch Snow and Charming's scenes at any time, but particularly in earlier times like this knowing that the actors weren't yet married but eventually would be thanks to meeting on the show. *Speaking of, the story goes that the snow during the awakening kiss scene was 100% coincidental and not man-made. What a great omen for the show! *They did Mary Margaret's make-up a little differently in this episode, mainly with darker/larger eyebrows I think. I feel like it somehow sells the demure, unconfident persona she's been cursed into especially well to where I almost wish they had stuck with it, but her make-up in the rest of the season is fine too! *Mr. Gold was underweight for the 1st season, I think due to a previous role he had lost weight for... but it really adds to his intimidation somehow as the conniving villain he is! *In the entertainment/intrigue sense the Enchanted Forest version of Rumplestiltskin is my favorite character... but Emma is just the best (at least to me). From the moment she walks into the restaurant in her first scene to the emotion on her face as she blows out the candle or thinks about the parents who "gave her up" when talking to Mary Margaret and later Henry, she strikes such a presence. Some parts of the community give her a lot of hate (like the OUAT subreddit), but I think she's so relatable and the heart of the show! One more time, thank you for reacting to this again! It's such a good episode to revisit after knowing everything to come in the rest of the season and even the ones beyond.

Storybrooke IS such a magical setting and I would LOVE to see the set design in person!! I also agree that baby Henry was the best Henry, I think that has a lot to do with the innocence of childhood and the excitment of being involved in this kind of show, but all of the actors are so unique and amazing. I can't believe Emma gets hate, she's such a baddie!! And I didn't know the snow was a coicidence, that's awesome!!
