I definitely think that entire moment on the road trip is what made Michael turn down David’s offer even though he had doubts even before and it always lead back to Brian as Emmett pointed out. Emmett really is such an amazing friend. But I can’t even really blame Brian for it either because he’s always that way with Michael when he’s being sincere, he always kisses him and tells him he loves him. But you can clearly see how it meant something more to Michael by the way he was looking at him. I mean David did tell Brian to let him go so maybe he should amend some of the things he says and does with him. Idk maybe they’re both kinda at fault but it’s frustrating. How many times can we and everyone else yell at Michael to move on though moving on is hard so I get it. Idk if I buy that he loves David yet like he told him but he clearly cares or he wouldn’t have been so upset at the end so at least that’s something. He’s capable of caring about someone other than Brian. Justin living at Debbie’s really is the perfect solution. She’s an amazing mom and a great caregiver and he would have his own room there. Plus no homophobia. I was annoyed Jennifer tried excusing what his dad said about his “disgusting lifestyle” like he definitely meant it and pretending he didn’t isn’t helping anyone. Hoping for a divorce soon. No one can thrive in a home with that man.

I never noticed Melanie being a loud kisser til you pointed it out in episode 8 and now I hear it all the time lol Also hmm I guess this is the most kissing Brian and Justin have done since the first time. You always notice things I never have so I love rewatching things with you.

I think a big factor in the Michael/David situation too is that Michael doesn't really know what being in love is like, so he probably really thinks he's in love, but isn't. Plus what does he really have to compare that to aside from what he feels for Brian, which he interprets as a special friendship.
