Broken Heart- Thank you so much for another reaction to another of my favorite episodes, Jessie!! And not just in season five, but throughout the entire show!! I love it so much!!! Broken Heart for me... is powerful, heartbreaking, and so, so beautiful. First...I know that so many people come to see Killian as so, so weak throughout this episode. And yes... he is, just like he tried to warn her of. And yet his fall into darkness is most certainly not without merit. Regarding Hook's hatred of Emma, and all the Dark Ones... Hook has the darkest past when it comes to the Dark One because of all the pain in his long lifetime that Rumplestiltskin has caused him. From Rumple first daring Killian to a duel to the death, to killing Milah by crushing her heart in front of him, cutting off his hand, and then after holding his hatred and lust for revenge on him for centuries, until Killian was finally able to let go of his revenge... only for Rumple to continue to torment him by tricking Killian after getting his hand back for a brief time and making him believe his hand was cursed, then Rumple forcing him to do his dark biding that caused him to have to go against Emma and the others all in exchange for removing his hand again, to Rumple forcing Killian to watch as Emma nearly became sucked into the Sorcerer's hat because of him upon binding Killian to the gate, then Rumple finally ripping out and nearly crushing his heart as well after continuing to force him to work for him and to go against Emma and the heroes, etc... And on top of his pain from all of this, Killian has also suffered from his centuries of being a pirate and villain both before and after meeting Rumple. Killian is tormented by guilt and pain, yet has been able to let it all go and give up on his revenge against Rumple... all for Emma. And Emma knows all of this. She knows of his guilt and torment better than anyone aside from Rumple too. Emma knows of Killian's past with the darkness pains him better than everyone, even Rumple. This is why Killian pleads with Emma to let him die and to not turn him into the Dark One. And while Emma does so out of her love for him and being unable to let him die, she still goes against his wishes and does exactly what he begged her not to do. Killian hates the Darkness and all Dark Ones, especially Rumple, with every fiber of his being. So, for her to turn him into the very being he hates above all else... this is the ultimate betrayal and Killian couldn't let all of his pain go. And now...because of all his pain and anger he's held back towards the Dark One, the Darkness has absolutely consumed him and is feeding so much on this pain, that Killian... the good man now buried deep down inside of the Dark One he has now become, can't think straight any longer. This is why Killian is so angry with Emma. Why he claims to hate her, even though I still sense he still loves her, because he refused to rip out and crush Emma's heart to enact the curse. I completely understand why Killian is so broken and lost to the Darkness. Emma has hurt him worse than anyone... even Rumple ever could. I hope all of this helps answer your confusion towards Killian's very dark turn. Now... I have a number of favorite scenes and moments throughout this episode, most of which are between Killian and Emma. Clearly... this episode is centered around them, as we finally learn the rest of the events that happened between them in Camelot after Emma turned Killian into a second Dark One to try to save his life. And while we see that she has succeeded, the man Killian is, has been buried deep down inside the villain he's become once again because of the Darkness now consuming him, as well as the pain from Emma's betrayal when she turned him into the very monster he's feared and hated with every fiber of his being for centuries. And I can't blame him for feeling so heartbroken. My first favorite moment is in the beginning, when we see Killian become consumed by the Darkness within Dark Ones Vault before he is reborn as a new Dark One, then is confronted by the voice inside his head that has taken shape in the form of Rumplestiltskin just as he appeared to Emma as well. I just love the moment the Darkness surrounds Killian, as he screams and is forced to relive the most painful moments throughout his very long life. And then... I absolutely love seeing Killian, now the Dark One face come face to face with his oldest enemy, and seeing their rivalry once again come to light. I love how Killian immediately knows that this Rumplestiltskin is only in his mind and tries hard to resist his taunts. Unfortunately, the moment the Darkness reminds him of his revenge against the real Rumplestiltskin, he swiftly gives into the Darkness and begins seeking his vengeance once again. Marvelous!! :) Two more of my favorite moments are both scenes between Killian and Emma in the Enchanted Forest, when Emma finds him for the first time since he vanished into the Dark Ones Vault after she tethered his life to Excalibur and tries to pull his mind away from the Darkness' taunts and Killian is angry for pushing him right back into the darkness he's been fighting against, then later when they argue about possession of Excalibur and he gets angry with Emma shouting, "Which is why... I begged you not to turn me into the bloody Dark One in the first place!", then reminds her that he had been the one who never stopped believing in her. The heartbreak in his voice and in his eyes as Killian fights to resist the Darkness and upon hearing him proclaim Emma clearly doesn't believe in him any longer, is so sad and heartbreaking, yet so beautiful. I've told you before how much I love all of the really emotional moments with Hook and that's all thanks to Colin O'Donoghue's phenomenal talent when playing this incredible character. He's fantastic when showing the deep emotions such as heartbreak and pure anger. And while Emma has betrayed him, I definitely feel so badly for her as well because she's realizing in these scenes that she's still losing the man she loves so deeply, and inevitably... she does come to lose him to the Darkness because of her betrayal and all of her secrets she tried to keep from him. Especially regarding Emma having the one weapon that once again holds the power to control him. Control that he has feared and suffered from for so long. All thanks to Rumple from when Rumple had taken control over Killian back in season four's Frozen arc upon ripping out Killian's heart and by Rumple keeping him under his possession. Another favorite moment... takes place in Storybrooke, when Dark Hook comes to Emma inside Regina's home while she's being guarded by Merida, then he goes on to speak so cruelly to hurt her, and upon Emma asking him why he's doing all he's doing, he answers, "Because... I want to hurt you, like you hurt me." I just love how Jennifer and Colin act off one another as two Dark Ones, versus how they act with one another while they're their true selves. This scene is so, so sad, but so incredibly acted by both Colin and Jennifer. And finally... my last favorite moment comes in the end once Emma renders Killian unconscious after he has killed Merlin, then as she takes Killian's face in her hands and whispers, "When you wake up, you'll be the man you were. The man I love. The man who loves me." Then she kisses him tenderly on his lips. So, so beautiful. I also love the idea of her taking away his memories of him ever becoming the Dark One, in order to bring Killian back to her once the curse brings them all back home. Fantastic! :) Unfortunately... the only way that Killian would have remained completely in the dark about what Emma has done to him, is if Emma erased everyone's memories of what she had done as well. Because had she done like you think Emma should have done and went to her family for help, they would have inevitably let slip in front of Killian that something was wrong with him. He would have come to discover the secret that much sooner, in some way or another if everyone knew from the beginning. Now... I really love the swordfight between Dark Hook and Gold aboard the Jolly Roger, and all of Hook's interactions with Gold as well, starting with their scene inside Gold's pawnshop when Dark Hook comes to challenge Gold to a duel, just like Rumplestiltskin had challenged Hook to a duel two hundred years earlier just before Killian becomes Captain Hook upon Rumplestiltskin cutting off his hand. I love, love, love the moment when Dark Hook mimics Rumplestiltskin from when Rumplestiltskin first taunted him in the same way, way back in season two's very first episode with Hook... The Crocodile, as Dark Hook now challenges Rumple in the same way to another duel, showing the beginning of their dark and bitter rivalry. It's hilarious and just fantastic!!! Just one more reason to love Colin O'Donoghue. :) Next... I like the brief moment between David and Mary Margaret outside of the Dark Ones Vault once Merlin brings them and Lancelot to it in hope of getting there in time to help Killian once he's reborn only to realize they're too late. I love how Mary Margaret defends Emma's actions upon trying to save Killian by turning him into another Dark One. However, I'm not too happy with how quick David is to once again show such little faith in Hook. I can understand it a little, given Hook's past with being a villain for so long. But by this point, Killian has proven himself to be a hero and he's worked so hard to change. Plus... he and David have become good friends, so seeing David show such little faith in Hook really bothers me quite a bit. And Mary Margaret then sides with David too when she nods her head in agreement with him. It's sad that everyone, including Merlin too, have such little faith in Hook. If someone other than just Emma, had just tried to help Killian like they've all been fighting so hard to help Emma fight off the Darkness too, and had they not ever lied to him and keep so many secrets from him... things could have worked out very differently and better for everyone. I firmly believe this. They all needed to have more faith in Killian, and yet no one did. Even Emma didn't have nearly as much faith in Killian like he had faith in her. The kind of faith that Killian deserved. As for Merlin's death... a lot of fans feel that Merlin is killed far too easily given that he is the most powerful Sorcerer to have ever lived. And while I agree that this is so to some degree, I also feel that his death makes sense. Because Emma rips away all of his magic and his mortality within him in order to save Killian, which makes Merlin mortal once again just as he was over a thousand years earlier before he drank from the Holy Grail. And I actually really love that by Dark Hook crushing his heart so he can activate the dark curse, it's really actually Nimue who kills him because she and all past Dark Ones live within him and in Emma. I really love this concept a lot. It's clever and in my opinion... a great idea. And I feel bad for Merlin of course. I really love him as a character a lot too. And I love the actor, Elliot Knight as Merlin. Although... I am quite disappointed that Merlin never made any kind of effort to try to help Killian deal with the Darkness inside of him like he did with Emma. There may not have been much time they had to talk, but in their few moments together, Merlin immediately saw Killian as only a Dark One and no longer as Killian. I suppose it could be because Merlin saw Hook's future and knew that he was beyond listening to pleas or to reasoning, but I still would have liked to see some kind of offer of help from Merlin towards Killian too. Again... that's probably just me. And lastly... I love the final scene as Dark Hook and the Darkness in the form of Rumplestiltskin come to the lake's edge and summon all the previous Dark Ones from the Underworld once Hook has taken some of Gold's blood that is needed from him to open the portal to the Underworld. I love that to do so, blood from someone who has died and come back from the dead is needed. And of course, seeing Dark Hook and Rumple looking into the mist that comes rolling in with Charon the Boatman carrying all of the Dark Ones... fabulous! I love how eerie this whole scene is. Overall... Broken Heart is a phenomenal episode and I absolutely love it! And I really enjoyed your reaction for it as well, Jessie. Even though we might not agree with everything in regards to Killian's fall into darkness. So, thank you once again, Jessie! I am looking forward to all your reactions to come. i really love all the moments between emma and hook in this episode. these two work so well together and each scene they have is just so well done in my opinion. it’s an interesting dynamic to have the two people we love being together turn on each other because we start to see how seeing hook as the dark one brings emma down to reality quite a bit. i just love it. i can’t wait for the next episode! today we got a huge snow storm, so i’m home all day and definitely going to rewatch episode 11, then probably binge some more episodes of all the shows i’ve been putting off lol. thank you for the video, and have a nice day jessie!❤️

Merlin's death was fore shadowed, when everyone was wondering why they were only receiving his message, thru a voicemail comment by Regina. Captain Dark one, appears, & locked the doors to Grannies. Then he stalked Merlin, just as Merlin voices that Emma F***d up big time. & It was too late. Before this moment when everyone except for Emma & poor dying Killian, in the Mist flower fields where Killian love sick pup took Emma on a Romantic Horseback ride to a far away field where the mysterious mist💗 Flowers 🌹🌹🌹grow🌹🌹during the tense moment when Hook had died, & Emma was tethering his life force to the still broken Excalibur, The Darkness that was inside Merlin, was syphoned OUAT💗🌹 From his immortal body, leaving him defendless, & vulnerable to any attack. But because Merlin was already tethered to Excalibur, the darkness bespelled by Zelena, who tethered Merlin enslaved him, & indentured him to Arthur's will, was now taking him over. Here's the twist, Hook's impetuosity, & stubborn drive, puts him in danger, as Arthur strikes out at Killian, to stop him from attacking him.

After their quick altercation, & Emma goes to heal him, Killian & her have no warning, that he now has a death sentence. When they gather in Grannies, & Emma is full ready to purge the darkness from herself finally.

After all the lovers been thru to end the darkness & Arthur's deadly plot to make Merlin obey his Will thru Zelena's assistance. The potion didn't just tether Merlin to Excalibur, it tethered him to the Darkness of the Dark ones. Making Nimue, enabled to crush her lovers heart, Merlin thru her pawn, a then enslaved Captain Dark one, & because Merlin was tethered by Zelena, to the blade & the darkness, he can see all the Darkones, that are in Killian, & Emma, only because Emma was the light Savior, she isn't fully to the Dark side yet. But because Hook was weak, & savoured the darkness once before, he was more susceptible to be it's easily taken over, & fully turned Dark one. Rumple is just a means to the Dark ones real Dark purpose. They know they can bend Killian to their Whiles, till they complete their Dark mission, that Emma needs to end. Or all the Dark one's will prevail, & Darkness will get to SNUFF OUAT THE LIGHT. 💔☠️ 🌹💀🩸💀💀🩸🌹

So exciting, can't wait till your next Reaction, Jessie hon. Take care, get rest, drink water, tea, & have some soup. Thin broth is better then a heavy meal. My Mom had Cov & she is fine now. You had your Vacs, & maybe a Booster, so you should be well again soon. Just be patient clean your hands as much as possible. & Wipe surfaces that everyone is touching, or has touched. Use paper towels not bathroom towels till illness has passed thru your home. & Wear a mask, & tell Robbie to do the same. Wear masks around each other. Seriously when Mom was in Qaurentine, I wore a mask & cleaned everything she touched & everything like door knobs, with 99% Alcohol in my Purell Sanitizer. Gave Mom her own, & told her to wipe down everything too. Eventually the Virus left our home. We're fine now, I was tested right after I heard Mom contracted Cov. All clear, & Mom knows to wear a mask everywhere now, till some smart people in Medical profession research the Virus, not a temporary solution. 🤕😷

I kind of like Dark One Hook, I don't know why but he seems more charming...? idk I had an ex-friend who hated Hook just because of the "You'll always be an Orphan" line and it was like "Seriously??" I really don't get it. tbh, I have no memory of what happens after the Hook Dark One reveal other than where they end up for the second half of this season. RIP Merlin Tbh, Hook being the Dark One and him falling under the darkness felt a little rushed. I kind of wish we had more time to flesh it out a little.
