6,741- I am sure your reaction for this episode is great as they always are, Jessie. However, this is unfortunately the one episode throughout this entire show that I always skip over, because I sadly don't like anything about it. I honestly feel that this episode is the worst episode of the entire show. I don't like it for a number of reasons, and if there is one episode that feels like a filler episode... It's certainly this one. I love Shaw. But this episode, in my opinion, is not only boring, but it also doesn't do anything to further along the overarching storyline happening. Except to finally show us what is currently happening with Shaw. However, in the worst way possible. I sadly really hate the story arc the writers and creator wrote for Shaw the rest of this season. And even Root gets on my nerves more so throughout the rest of the series, than ever before as well. And while I am most definitely within the minority when it comes to loving or hating the developed romance between Shaw and Root ever since they first kiss in the episode where Shaw is shot and then captured by Samaritan's operatives... Personally, I do not like their romance at all. Especially not in this episode and what's to come for their characters for the most part moving forward. I've always thought that Root's flirtations with Shaw were fun and entertaining, because they fit her character, and I love Shaw's reactions to Root's flirting. I just wish that the creators and writers didn't feel any need to actually put Root and Shaw into an actual relationship. And then... We tragically don't get to see any of the rest of our character favorites, outside of the simulations, at all. I am just not a fan of this episode at all. Nonetheless... While I enjoyed the episode, I still definitely understand your opinion! I got scared at the end thinking it was real, so I was just relieved to see it was all a simulation, which could be why I enjoyed it more lol I also like the idea of Shaw and Root being a couple, but I do think it feels a little rushed at this point. A meaningful relationship with 2 extremely independant characters needs to be more developed in order for it to make sense for the characters.

Wanda Did Nothing Wrong

I love this episode. I love how off it feels almost immediately. It’s most apparent when Root shows up, because Root, doesn’t work the numbers lol and she most definitely would not have done surgery on Sameen in a train car. She would have gotten the Machine to find both a safe house and a brain surgeon. And I definitely don’t agree that the Root/Shaw relationship is rushed. They’ve literally been flirting since the moment they met in the hotel. Shaw has always shown preference towards Root, even the Machine put them together for that first mission because She knew they would trust each other. They definitely fucked in the CIA safe house in S3 too, and more times as well. How does a sociopath show that they love someone? They shoot themselves in the head 6741 times rather than hurt that person. They’re very much a well acted/written queer couple, no matter how unintentional it came about. Mostly just Sarah & Amy’s chemistry together I think lol. Women couples go from zero to moving in together in the space of 3 dates, these guys have been slow burning for years.
