Hi everyone! I'm here with a tiny guide to show you how to replace non-playable characters without breaking their full function!

As you all know, if you replace Tom/Tina Peeping (instead of makeover in CAS yourself), any Sage of School of Magic (L. Faba, Simeon Silversweater, Morgyn Ember etc) etc. will lose their function, and stop working as how they were intended to. Like Tom or Tina won't be creeps, SoM Sages stop being Sages (Teachers) etc. BUT there is a workaround for this! Let's check how it works!

What do you need?

  • MCCC (required)

If you replace townies 1:1 from anyones townie makeover without making any changes, they will work as they are for the most part. But the non-playable sims in the example above will lose their function.

When they spawn on your world (or you made them spawn in your area with MCCC), click on them and find the "MCCC" option.

And then, all you have to do is following the few easy steps shown below:

ALL you have to keep in mind is to make sure BOTH makeover and the vanilla sim have the same name. This way, you will prevent your save to be corrupted in the future. Well, any save can be corrupted but atleast this will not be the reason for it.

Technically, you can do this for ANY townie, any non-playable character without losing their function as long as they have the exact same name etc (you can also not include or include several options- can be seen in the 8th step). But one by one to all townies might take quite a long time. So i advice to replace townies from household's CAS (siince you can replace more than one at once) and only change non-playable characters' appereance via MCCC Tray, since it won't break their function.

I know this isn't a sorcery or a myth that nobody knows by now. However, i've been getting some questions regarding to this so i wanted to make a tiny post for it.

Hope it helps ♥

Happy Simming!! :)
