UPDATE- This episode was labeled on Amazon as 5x15 since they added 2 recaps as episodes towards the end of this season. We did already watch them, so they will premiere in order since we haven't seen episodes beyond that yet. Thanks for understanding and watching with us!

Just to let you guys know, a good amount of people on YouTube in the comments of "The Story of the Oceanic Six" reaction are saying that you guys may want to consider retitling the clip show you reacted to last week by removing the episode number, and then retitling this episode 5x14 and so on, since most people don't consider the recap episode an episode, but more of an unnumbered special. Their justification is that everyone searching for a "LOST 5x14" reaction will be looking for The Variable, not Story of Oceanic 6, as well as 1 number lower for the last episodes of this season too, as those are the episode's real numbers, and it may confuse people and prevent other's from finding them. Might be too much work for you guys to be worth it, but I just wanted to give a heads up. You guys also really have a handle on the story now and I'm very glad, lol. The reveal that before the island Dan had some radiation brain damage changes how one looks at him in Season 4. Remember when Desmond was with Dan in the past with the rat maze experiment and Dan was using a machine which moved the rats mind in time? It had radiation, Dan was wearing a protective lead shirt, then Desmond said "What about your head?" Dan had no response. Now we know Dan should've worn head protection, haha. He also said it was dangerous over prolonged exposure, so his brain damage wouldn't be noticeable till after. His brain damage is ALSO why nobody on the freighter had any faith in Dan when we first met him. He wasn't coherent of mind again till he jumped off that chopper and met Jack. It brings a LOT of new context to those scenes which makes a rewatch great. It's why he was trying to remember what cards where what with Charlotte when they arrived on the island. They were testing to see if his mind was healing, if he was making progress! FINALLY there's the answer to that scene. Remember, you guys don't ye really know that Eloise has premonitions. That hasn't yet been shown. We do know she has lived on the island a long time, and earlier in the season was told by Dan he was from the future and a lot of information about the island still being there in the future in the 50's. But an explanation of how Eloise knew more than that, and now doesn't know what's going to happen next is coming! Once you guys understand what the island really is, you'll understand why Charles and Eloise are obsessed with it.

Be careful with Amazon!! I think they have a cut version of the very last episode of the show, it's another version edited by ABC for TV and it's missing about 20 minutes. Where I live Disney+ has the full finale but was missing last week's recap episode lol.. I remember on the Reddit sub there were a lot of people from the US complaining about Amazon's catalogue missing those scenes, I hope they fixed it because it would suck if you missed the scenes they cut out.

Luckily they have fixed it on Amazon. Although I thought it remember it originally being back when LOST was on Netflix when enough people complained to make them upload the real version of the finale. I know that Hulu had/has BOTH versions and if a person doesn't know they can switch to the full finale, the default which plays is the edited version, as which happened which the Reaction Channel "Hogwarts Reacts". Regardless, I'm so glad that happened. Unfortunately, Amazon still only has the edited for syndication versions of the Season 2 Finale, maybe even the Season 3 finale, as well as a completely different edit of the Season 4 finale than the bluray. They even removed some scenes from a few slightly too long episodes to fit within an hr with commercial which they aired all of when they premiered, like the Rose and Bernard Season 2 episode.
