Awesome reaction and discussion by all. People being treated as livestock or cattle for being slaves is the theme laid out and spoken in the first lines of the first episode of the show—humanity being confined like cattle within the Walls without freedom by the Titans waiting to devour them all. Freedom is what Eren talks about with Falco at the clinic, war taking freedom away from veterans who lost their limbs, their minds, their lives.

Freedom is what Eren Krueger tells Grisha is so special about the Attack Titan—that in all eras it seeks freedom, it fights for freedom, it moves ever forward. Which makes it suck extra hard that Eren calls Armin and Mikasa slaves, that all they accomplish is due to being slaves. Moving forward is what Reiner tells Eren about trying to achieve something, and it is what Eren repeats to Falco. Krueger also tells Grisha that they must push forward even in death and even after death to pay for the price of their actions.
