I'm glad we watched this in parts because our end review for Part 1 involved a lot of theories about Cyborg which weren't revealed until Part 2. Curious on what you thought of this movie compared to the original Justice League 2017 release :) Also, I rendered a FULL Combined video of Part 1 and 2 as a seamless 4 hour Reaction, but that will take a while to upload, LOL!

I’m really hoping the other DCEU movies are included on the next few polls and win. I’m seriously hoping to see reactions to Aquaman, Shazam, Birds of Prey and WW84.

The dream Batman was talking about was seen in Batman v Superman when Flash came back through time to tell him that Lois was the key--then realized he was "too soon". Batman also saw the wasteland future where everything was destroyed, a possible future if Superman were to ever "go bad"

It's important to note that THIS is the original version of the film, not the theatrical cut. The only footage that was "added" was that nightmare scene with Joker at the end. The rest of the film was what Zack Snyder originally shot before leaving the production. He was given more time and money to complete the visual effects and editing.

Really enjoyed this reaction. I went into this movie with mainly just curiosity and it wound up being one of my favorite superhero films ever!

Dawn, you were right on the money about Lois! In that future Cyborg saw (before they resurrected Superman), you saw Superman holding a "smoldering corpse" (Lois' body) before Darkseid places his hand on Superman's shoulder. It's implied that Darkseid uses the Anti-Life equation to control Superman, stripping him of his free will.

Snyder never really wanted to do a whole universe that was WB's plan, he was just going to do Man of Steel, Batman V Superman, Justice league part 1 2 and 3, and let other directors tell the story of the characters in different movies, but due to his daughters death and studio interference he just lost all motivation to do so, he only finished his vision for the fans himself and his daughter, his was going to be the original Justice League that came out but when he left the project Joss Whedon took over and cut so many needed scenes and added pointless new scenes, WB have no plans to continue the Snyderverse even though the movie did really well with most critics, and crashed the HBO Max servers because so many people were trying to watch it, WB are just so stupid they ruin a mans vision with a bastardized version when his daughter just died, Joss Whedon was also very abusive towards the cast mainly Cyborgs actor, who was rightfully pissed that almost all his scenes were cut making him useless in the theatrical cut, Snyder has never watched the theatrical cut because his wife and Christopher Nolan told him not to because it would break his heart, and when Nolan tells you not to do something or says a movie is good you know its a good movie, really do hope that maybe HBO Max will form some sort of deal with Snyder to continue his 5 movie arc on the platform, anyways sorry for the long badly structured sentences lol, really loved your reaction and can't wait to see your reactions to the other DCEU movies :)

It was clear that DC's "Endgame", if you will, was to bring the Injustice story arc to life. Injustice is a story arc from the comics where Lois dies and Superman absolutely loses it. He ends up taking over the world and you have superheroes like Batman teaming up with his old villains to take Superman down. Going back to this movie, something that a lot of people are missing is that Aquaman was right. Superman did not come back right. There are hints to this like when Superman was beating the crap out of Steppenwolf. If you go back and watch that scene, it's a bit disturbing. Superman shows absolutely no mercy in just beating him on the ground and even the others are standing around like, "Dude, chill." Now, near the end where we see the apocalypse scene, Joker reveals that Lois died and that was the cause of the world being destroyed. Thus, Lois is the key to preventing Superman going crazy and joining Darkseid. So, the dreams Bruce is having are actual premonitions of the future. That is unless they find a way to prevent Lois' death. BTW, the part where Bruce said that Barry appeared to him is in "Batman vs Superman." It was one of the reasons why Batman thought the worst of Superman in that movie.

its not hard to see Akimas bias against DC....bias based on what she reads online. Its like she is looking for things not to like....which would be fine, but isnt because she then passes on her biases to her fellow reactors

Not everyone is going to be into the same thing. She liked other dc movies in the past. Not everyone is into Zack Snyder’s style.

Injustice Superman seems to be the only Superman that Zack Snyder is familiar with or cares about representing. I do not think for a single second that his actions at the end of the film (I.E. brutally and completely unnecessarily maiming Steppenwolf) were meant to be viewed as questionable. I think this is the ultimate fulfillment of Zack Snyder's murder fantasy versions of all these characters. "He killed Zod at the end of Man of Steel so that he could learn to never take another life again." Yeah, how long did that last?
