POLL for POLLS- Live Action vs Animation (Patreon)

Hello everyone and welcome to this bonus POLL!!! This POLL is a POLL about POLLS!

We have been getting requests to have the first POPULAR and UNDERDOG POLLS of the month just for LIVE ACTION movies and the second POLL of the month just for ANIMATED movies. We want to know what would you prefer?

If you all decide to have the first POLL of the month be just LIVE ACTION then the new schedule for POLLS would look like:


First week of the month: Request only post

Second week: POPULAR & UNDERDOG- LIVE ACTION movies only

Third week: Wild Card POLL

Fourth week: POPULAR & UNDERDOG- ANIMATION movies only

Any extra weeks in the month would be filled with a Bonus WILD CARD POLL!

I personally think it’s best for the live action and animated movies to be in separate polls because the animated films always win. Splitting them up will give both types of films an equal chance.

I'm not sure how to vote in this. I've said before that I feel it's a little silly to put *any* animated films on polls (specifically Disney/Pixar type movies) because it seems that the Akima crew will likely react to them anyway. It's obvious those are the movies they most enjoy*, so they will choose those for when they need a break from movies that make Mom go, "Oh, that's sick." (*I think part of why they gravitate towards Disney/Pixar movies so often - besides the fact that they like them - is that they're a known quantity. You can pretty much guess the tone/appropriateness of what you'll get with the Disney label, even if you know nothing of the plot going in. This is kind of why wish they would do more investigation about movies that are suggested to them before watching them - it might pique their interest and make them actually WANT to watch them. Not spoilers for the movies, but just knowing the genre, tone, people involved, etc. Not only would that make them more excited about seeing other movies besides Disney, but I'm firmly in the camp that having SOME context to put movies into before watching them, makes for a richer experience for ANYONE.)

Hi Michael and yes! We are keeping all the same polls. Only difference is one week of Underdog/Popular will be live Action requests only and the second Underdog/Popular will be for animated requests.... if that wins on this POLL that is!
