Erasmo

Yes!!! Thank you. So glad mama saw this one, and Kim. Initially, I only became a patreon because of mom, but over time Kim got more desensitized, and I found she, and I have very similar taste. Thanks for posting!!!

And in the end, Elsa just couldn't "Let it go!"

Klaus

You're welcome for the Austrian way btw ;)

This is definitely my favorite movie from the Indiana Jones series. It has great action, a fun story, hilarious comedy and amazing acting, particularly from Harrison Ford and Sean Connery, who have incredible chemistry together on screen. While Raiders of the Lost Ark was amazing but a bit slow and Temple of Doom was fun but too dark, Last Crusade was perfect in my opinion. The villain was hate-able, the love interest was interesting due to the twist, the artifact was interesting and the adventure was so much fun. I always come back to this movie and never get bored of it.

Great reaction! This is off-topic to Indiana Jones, but I really want to softly suggest Clue (1985) as a potential halloween reaction :') It's very funny and so clever and definitely fits the spooky mystery vibe of the holiday

Opti_Frog

This is a great comment because now i can keep my thoughts on the movie short. Everything Adam said, but the complete opposite. ^^ Although, i will admit that Ford and Connery had some chemistry.

I like “Raiders” and “Last crusade” the same for different reasons. The first has so many classic unforgettable scenes. It singlehandedly is responsible for the renewed success of adventure movies. The last is just a perfect blend of adventure, emotion, and fun. R.I.P. River Phoenix who captured Harrison Ford mannerisms perfectly as a young Indy.

What about Halloweeny Tim Curry double-feature with Rocky Horror Picture Show? 😉

Anonymous

YES! I love Rocky Horror so much and would absolutely support this idea :D Tim Curry truly is like... an icon of Halloween aha

Opti_Frog

I know, i have some weird tastes. I much prefer Skull to Crusade.

CiviliNation

its always a coin flip, is Storm gonna let us just watch the movie or is Storm gonna talk over the entire movie. I was so happy with the Knives Out reaction. I was so looking forward to this film, but i give up after about 40 minutes. I hate constant commentary

Daniel R

I'm not even going to bother watching Indiana Jones 5, no Steven Spielberg = no watch from me.

Tiger Chu

Storm looking so freaking adorable with that hat and hair

WastedPo

I unfortunately have to agree with Civili. For me, this approached "Princess Bride" territory, where it wasn't so much an organic response to what was happening on screen, but constant talking *over* the movie. They missed so much dialogue. It's like they go into some movies with the assumption it's going to be dumb, so they don't try to become invested.

WastedPo

Clue is very clever. One thing I like to point out that people today might not be aware of is that it was actually pretty experimental. (a) It was a farcical style of comedy, a style which went out of fashion decades before. (b) When it was released in theaters, audiences randomly got one of three different endings (which are now all presented together).

Armchair Wizard

I also had a problem with the Princess Bride reaction, but that was mostly ONE of the reactors, but i didn't have that same problem with this movie. A lot of the "talking" wasn't over any critical dialogue, whereas Princess Bride, and something like a Tarantino movie is almost ALL dialogue. Indy is like half action scenes.

I've actually heard of your second point! I've also heard the movie did not receive favorable reviews when it first came out :/ but the different endings is so interesting.. I wish movies would occasionally do that today. It definitely gives ppl incentive to go watch the movie in theaters more than once for a chance to catch a different alternate ending. That sounds like so much fun

CiviliNation

I appreciate you,Po, and not just because you happen to agree with me but i wouldnt want Storm or anyone else to take offence. And seeing that i am not the only one who feels this way, hopefully Storm...or anyone else... will take this as constructive criticism and not a case of me just being "negative"

WastedPo

Same, Civili. I was hesitant to say anything myself, as I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Also, it can be tricky to give constructive criticism that's also gentle in tone. I thought further on what bothers me about certain reactions. It's true that fun reactions often have a lot of talking. But I prefer when the talking and emotions come naturally from being invested in the movie. Wisecracks at the movie's expense are best reserved for turkeys like "The Room" or "Birdemic."

Storm Akima Thank you so much for doing the reactions that you've done for the first three movies of the "Indiana Jones" franchise. Now all what's left is to do a reaction for the 4th movie: "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Will you be doing that one soon???
