Hi everyone and SURPRISE! We will be watching more Star Wars next week and then X-Men. We've been getting so many requests for so many movies that we decided to choose one of the top requests that always almost WINS everytime, LOL. Mom and Kim have been asking to watch some Christmas movies too, so we are going to try to squeeze that in this weekend. Hope you like this surprise!

Omg! I’ve been voting for this, for a while in every poll it’s been in. Unexpected surprise! PLEASE watch the second one. It’s definitely, 100% the best one. It's the 'Groot' of the series if that makes sense haha.

Also, will you watch Rogue One or The Last Jedi next week? I left a comment earlier that it might be easier to watch episode 8 The Last Jedi next, because Rogue One is a spin-off movie. Anyway, excited to see more Star Wars! :)

It would make sense to do Episode 8: TLJ next, but its fine either way. For the record, I LOVE Star Wars 8. Such a great film for Star Wars nerds like me.

I remember her saying that, but wanted to let her know that it might be confusing for her mom to go back in time and see Rogue One, then see The Last Jedi, then again back in time to see Solo. Just easier to see TLJ first, then the two prequels to the original trilogy IMO. :) But it’s their decision of course!

Awesome reaction btw. I'd not seen the movies yet, so this was my first time watching but I had read the books! Small not to make it more horrible, the "dogs" at the end were actually the dead contestants. They took the bodies and mutated them. In the books Katniss recognized Rue's eyes in one of the dogs. The dogs and traps weren't digital, just highly advanced physical props.

I really appreciated your family reaction to this. There's so much world building needed at the beginning, it's a big clumsy, but there are a few things I always think of with this series: -Katniss always reminds me of learning about Maslow's hierarchy of needs. She's so focused on immediate survival (even before the reaping) that of course she's not concerned about friendliness or politeness. -Suzanne Collins has commented that seeing an inane reality show juxtaposed against footage of the Iraq War is part of what inspired her to write it. There's so much to consider about how media is entertainment driven, even during tragedies-maybe especially then. (Wikipedia says she was also inspired by the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur). -The book keeps the reader firmly with Katniss's point of view, but at many points, the movie gives us the audience the same view the audience in the Capitol would have. I think about that a lot. Us and the Capitol citizens, both watching the Hunger Games... the main difference being that we can tell ourselves it's fiction. So I was glad to see how disturbing you found it, and how you didn't take it like an exciting action movie, because I don't think it should be viewed that way. I would appreciate a reaction to the rest of the series (even though splitting Mockingjay into 2 movies really screwed up its pacing), but if it would be too disturbing, I understand that too. Happy new year.

I didn't like this movie the first time I watched it, but I do now after watching it again with you guys. Peeta's camouflage reminds of Groot.

I love this series, books and movies. Are you planning on reacting to the rest of the series? It would be a shame to stop as the next one is even better in mine and a lot of others opinions. Hoping you continue 🙏🙏🙏🙏
